I just get done playing ME1  I do every quest do anything possible in the game. When i finally install and start ME2 there is NO SAVE FILE to import from ME1. This is dissapointing because I refuse to play ME2 without exporting my char over.  Ive even tried doing a new game + and saving  yet still nothing.

when you click on the ME2 icon on you deck to a new box opens, go to configure, then at the bottom of the new window is game saves. look for your ME1 game save there, then go into the ME2 game and start new game

Run the config utility. When you start the game, don't click on Play. Click on Configure.

When the utility pops up, click on the Save Games tab. Click on the Copy Mass Effect 1 Save Games button. Navigate to the Save folder of your ME1 game. Choose it and click on Okay. It will seem like nothing happens, but it imports the saves. Once you've done that, when you go into the game, you should be able to choose your old character.

We really need to get a sticky up on how to import your ME1 character. This question is asked 20 times a day.
