I'm on my 2nd play thru now as a Vanguard, my fave class. It was worth playing thru as my renegade soldier Shep 1st. The bonues you get from the importing a character & beating the game are super (Long service medal & Mission Accomplished acheivments). The story line feels so different tho' its the same Game. As my soldier the choices I made had me not even become a reinstated Spectre. I don't understand the complaints I've heard from reading certain posts. My 2nd playthru has just begun & my resources are thru the roof. Imported a lvl 60 rich guy. Picked up Barrier as my bonus talent. I said **** it & got the facial surgery. Starting out with 60k in each resource, why not. I'm not going to worry about using any of the bonus armors & I have them all. In my 1st play thru I switched it up between them all except the blood dragon. This is my Shep not the default soldier I wanna see his facial. That being said, I'll move along.

My brothers still on his 1st play thru as a Vanguard & he just complains so much about the Charge ability & now refuses to use it. He also told me about how he's read online in forums of people complaining about it. I happen to like it. Knowing when to use it makes a giant difference. As was said in the Vanguard class reveal vid, high risk high reward. Aside from that I had an original complaint  RE: will I be able to use an AR. Some of you might remember that post in the old Forum I put up after the Soldier reveal vid finally came out. Ms Norman was nice enuff to clarify a few things.  So I'm all ready to train in the use of an AR, but from my little experience playing as a Vanguard I'm thinking about training in the use of that Heavy claymore shotgun. The AR's have higher capacity for Thermal clips but imho the SMG will suffice. Having 2 gats that fire similarly seems redundant.

So my fellow Vanguards what is your opinion on advanced weapon training? AR or that Krogan shotgun?
