ME2 PC. Installed correctly, all key work properly, but when i come to the blue targeting icon on people and thing in game out of combat it is nearly impossible for it to appear to start conversations. I've look though key binding, graphics and nothing helps.
Targeting issues.

Are you sure you're close enough to the target? I've noticed the blue reticule comes up when you're too far away to initiate the conversation, but if I move closer, te reticule turns a more bold blue color. Then I can start the convos.

No, I only ever see the reticule on my approach to the the characters, and as soon as I get nearly on top of them I can get the reticule to show at all.

This is also discussed HERE
No solution as of yet, though it's suggested to update drivers (which I'm currently doing) and if that doesn't work maybe reinstall DirectX. It seems to be a graphical glitch that doesn't only affect objects, but also enemies, making them unable to target, with the result that skills can't be properly aimed. The Vanguard's charge suffers most from it since it HAS to have a target.

I think I solved it on my comp, it may solve it for others as well:
Updated DirectX (linky)
and
adjusted some settings in the NVidia control panel: 3D settings - let
application decide (so no forced AA, AF etc. I didn't even know I had
those things turned on, also boosted my FPS)
Still, it would be nice to have a response from Bioware

I reloaded my drivers and it worked better for the doors and objects but talking to people it still much easier to esc and then back out of that and try to time the space bar after it.

You found the answer in another thread. Your system is just too poor to work well enough. Next time you go PC shopping, be less impulsive, and more deliberate, right?Heyitsrobb wrote...
