Yes, I had the same issue. Luckily I had the subtitles on. After you choose which one to help the sound magically came back on.

Oh okay, That's A Relief To know That Happens To Every Mass Effect Copy
I asked allot of My Personal Friends If they had the Same Problem, But they all Said
That they didn't Notice anything like that Which doesn't make Sense Cause it's So Oblivious
Hopefully They will Fix that in an Update Soon
