Cerberus Network still down?
#1

When I try to connect to the Cerberus Network (through the laptop on the right at the main menu) it simply gives me a "Connection timed out/interrupted" error message. It even asks me for my "Gaurdian's permission"...(I'm old enough not to need parental consent for this bull****)
So, can anyone tell me if it's just that fact that I still haven't connected to the Network, that is stopping the armour DLC from showing up? Or am I just ****ed?

Not once, and I've tried to log on at various times of the day since I bought the game. I've now finished the game and never got to play the "free DLC" content. This is a tad annoying.

Your router may be restricting incoming traffic to your console, just because you can connect to XBL doesnt mean you can use all functions of all games.
If that fixes the problem and you can connect to Cerberus you need to adjust some settings on your router. DMZ or Port Forwarding or adding authentication for your MAC Address.

operative84 what do you mean
"Networks" like newer UBI games have, and EA has are separate from XBOXLIVE's Network, meaning certain configurations for connectivity for XBL can be and usually are different than what configuration your router would require to gain connectivity/access to Cerberus/Ubi/EA/IW etc. So all I'm asking is(and this is assuming you have your console networked via a router either through ethernet or wireless), take the router out of the configuration, connect your console directly if possible to your modem(and perform a power cycle, this include turning off your console).
Then after your modem shows connectivity to its network(time warner, verizon, at&t, etc), turn on your console.
Log into XBL(with "your" account).
Start ME2, see if it connects to Cerberus.
If doing this solves the Cerberus connectivity issue, ultimately you will need to re-config your router by either:
Port Forwarding - portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Xbox_Live_360/Xbox_Live_360index.htm
DMZ - Usually an option listed under your "FIREWALL" settings in your router.
MAC Filtering - EXPLANATION FROM XBOX.COM BELOW
Routers
can prevent devices from connecting by blocking their MAC address. To
check this, first write down your console's MAC address, then check
your router. To get your console's MAC address:
- In the Xbox Dashboard, go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
- Select Network Settings, Configure Network.
- On the Additional Settings tab, select Advanced Settings, then select Alternate MAC Address.
- Your MAC address is in one of two places:
- If you're connected to your network with an Ethernet cable, write down the 12 letters and numbers under Wired Mac Address.
- If you're connected to a wireless network, select Wireless Information, then write down the 12 letters and numbers after MAC Address.
you have your console's MAC address, check your router's MAC filtering
settings. Usually, you can get this information from your router
configuration web page, which is supplied by your router manufacturer.Learn how to find and use your router configuration pageLook
for the MAC filtering settings on the router configuration page. When
you find them, locate your console's MAC address and, if it's blocked,
unblock it. Then try to connect to Xbox LIVE again.

So by simplifying your connectivity to just your modem and your console, and seeing if that solves the problem would allow you to not only avoid calling EA, but give you an idea that your router may have configurations that are blocking your access to certain features on certain games like ME2's Cerberus Network, or Assassins Creed 2's UBI Network where you are rewarded content by using points you earn just by accomplishing tasks/feats in game(which is awesome, and very rewarding)

It would make the Cerberus network ($15 if you didn't buy a new game) pointless

Hey I got it fixed. I chose from the options --> online --> auto login to ea account and switched it off. Then I restarted the game and pressed Y to connect to Cerberus network and it works now.
So tlk about bizarre i had to go into my system settings and restore the default settings, then restart my xbox. after that... GOLD. It was like Cerberus was never down lol. Hopefully this solution or any of the above helps anyone else with this problem

Could it be some routine maintenance? Because just yesterday it worked fine for me, and today it won't connect... To make things even weirder; on the main menu, the option for "New Content Available" is showing and it says that I can download the Cerberus Network. I got my Cerberus Network Card when I bought the game, so why should I download it again? Am I just supposed to wait or what? Peace...
Same here!!
