Ok, sorry to be reduntant with this crap- but I dont really do the forum thing, and I cant find the "search" thing everyone mentions.
I rummaged around and found a old ME1 save where I was romancing Liara, but before the "climax" scene. When she came in to do the deed, I shot her down (I didnt really like her or ashley, but I wanted the award) . Now, my question is, assuming I was too late to stop the romance from sticking with me to ME2 (she was in the opening scene ><) can I dump her when I see her? I searched all over for a awnser, couldnt find one that didnt get seriously conflicted in the string of posts, and before I get too deep into ME2 I'd like to know if im going through ME1 again so I dont have to be a ass to one of the possible ME3 chars.
Thanks, and again, apologies, as im sure IF I could figure out how to search I'd find the awnser im looking for without making ANOTHER romance thread.

I want to know exactly the same thing and have searched everywhere myself. It would make sense to me that if you shoot her down its as good as over, but I would like to confirm this. Can anyone verify this, that if you say "forget it" to Liara or "Not now" to Ashley or whatever, that when you import your game into ME2 you will not have a LI?

As I just mentioned in another thread, after you encounter either Kaidan or Ashley on Horizon, Kelly will ask Shepard how the meeting went and probe your feelings about the character. It's possible to say that it's over and behind you. I don't know if this is an option after meeting Liara on Illium, since I never romanced her.
I suspect that talking to Kelly and claiming the relationship is done for is your way out, but we simply won't know until ME3.

I hope denying your romance at the end of 1 will be enough. I would like to go after Tali, but feel kinda guilty/bad over Ash, and since I play a paragon Sheo it kinda seems like a jerk move for him to do.

Well, I did deny my Romance (Liara) when she came to my quarters I said forget it, but when I imported my save into ME2 her Pic was on my desk! Does anyone know why that happened?
