The Carnifex is a reference to Warhammer 40k. No one tell Games Workshop. We don't want Bioware getting a cease and desist.

Might also be a reference to one of Tom Kratman's novels by the same name. Highly recommend his work if you like military SF. 'Carnifex' is also Latin for 'butcher'.

There is a DA:O Ogre in the vault during the Kasumi DLC, along with something very... patriotic.

What are all the statues in Kasumi's DLC that are references to other things?

SPOILERS

I know the Statue of Liberty head, the DA:O Ogre, Michaelangelo's David...but I can't remember the rest.

The Turian Ship in the vault is the one in the Artbook from the first ME.

Is the pointy-looking thing next to the Stone Tablets any sort of reference to anything? It looks so familiar, but I can't place it.

On Kasumi's loyalty mission, when you enter the vault, anyone notice the DA:O Darkspawn Ogre statue?

She even says something about "I wouldn't want to encounter that in the dark" or something like that.

:P

Okay, I just visited Legion AFTER killing the Collectors' Base.

Talking to him, getting to know him, and allowing him to go through EDI's firewalls presents two amusing pieces. One an easter egg, the other a possible Affair:

Easter Egg:

The log entry Legion plays, from a conversation between a servant Geth and a Creator (Quarian) is transcript from... some Asimov novel. Can't remember which one, but I'm pretty sure it's the one with Andrew Martin.

Affair:

Could really be a cool thing to explore in future DLC or ME3 - affair between Legion and EDI.

She's in awe of his collective "mind" and certainly "got a kick" from him going through her....

I talked to him after the collector base - completely did not see that easter egg - how did you get it?

I just started talking to him, wanting to find out more about him and not just the Geth.

Asked about the Network and then about Sharing Data - that did the whole opening ports from EDI.

You'd find Legion in the AI core banging the servers like the humping robot from Robot Chicken.

In season one of Babylon 5, one episode features a character named Tu'Pari. Could easily be just a coincidence.

The funniest I've seen is at the bar in Illium. The Asari bartenders face changes after you order and drink the Vorcha hooch.

The best parts are when Shepard's trying to be funny. Talking about blowing the cargo bay out the airlock and explaining how they have enough crew to lose a few in the process. Telling the guy to run because there's (not really) a bomb about to go off -- my favorite. Teasing Jack (especially once you get her interested). Talking about Tali to others when she's "standing right here!"

As for actual Easter eggs, I've only found two: Tali and Garrus reminiscing about the elevator rides and she threatens him about it, but we all've seen that one. Then, doing the "robot", another we've all seen. The rest I would say are interesting or funny lines or merely script errors or bugs.

I was struck by how much one of the spaceships looked like Jango Fett's vehicle.   And, this is the best ... I would have sworn I saw the "Pillar Of Autumm" in the ship graveyard coming out of the Omega 4 relay.

Yeah, I was like... "Halo!?"
It's not like the Masterchief couldn't just run in there and kill ALL of the Collectors? <_<

I was lazy to notice, could you PM a picture for me if you can?

Did anyone catch the Pulp Fiction reference? It was a side quest, where you board the Mule (I think), ship by itself in some system, to recover a special cargo. When you finish the mission, Shepherd opens the canister, and looks down, with a gold / yellow light shining up, then closes it. The cargo is never specified in the mission debrief either. Thought this was a reference to the suitcase Travolta and Jackson recover in the first part of Pulp Fiction.

I think that's a reference to "Repo Man".  The McGuffin was a suitcase in the trunk of a repossessed car and nothing was revealed about it except there was a glow inside it...

I also haven't seen a mention of Legion's dialog at the beginning of its loyalty mission.  He explains that the heretics "do not share your fear, pity or remorse", which is a reworking of Ash's description of the Alien in "Alien".

Edit your savegame and take Legion on Tali's recruitment mission (Haestrom).

(Ignore the fact that I'm playing as Legion haha)

The whole cutscene with Tali is pretty damned hilarious too, specifically, her reaction to Legion being there. Don't take the interrupt if you want extra laughs :)
