Im not going to reveal any spoilers here, but Ill say this much.

DA:O has been designed almost convinently.  Questlines, gameplay mechanics, everything about dragon age spells it in my head.

Bioware, is this some kind of secretive conspiracy to create an mmo sequal instead of making a series of dragon age games? Being perfectly honest, it wouldnt surprise many of us...

Im just curious, whats your thoughts on this folks?

One company managing two hopeful MMOs at the same time?

Not likely.

How does it spell MMO? Many other games are not MMO and use similar mechanics and I somehow doubt they would pit their own MMO against the upcoming Star Wars MMO.

Besides, dont you think there are far to many MMO's out there already?

World of Warcraft has been around for years. It's established and stable. Blizzard made the right decision in choosing to broaden their horizons and develop another.

I'm not saying it's too far off from reality to wonder. If it weren't for the timing I'd be inclined to agree with you. But Bioware's MMO isn't even out yet, and even when it does come out, they'll need to wait a while before they determine whether or not it was worth it. That's a long time waiting for a sequel to Dragon Age.

I hope not, they've got a great thing going right now and putting out a MMO I believe would honestly ruin that. I'm not saying that 100% likely to fail at putting out one, but I've played so many fail MMO's I'm just sick and tired of it, and i'd hate to see DA be taken through the mud by it. It's bad enough that theres a rumored Bethesda Elder Scrolls MMO in the works =\\.

I really hope for the successes of The Old Republic and it would be kinda stupid of bioware to create 2 mmo's since they would be competing with themselves. But if TOR would fail for some random reson I wouldent mind to see a dragon age mmo :P

At the moment, I would say Mass Effect has a much better chance of being made into an mmo then DA.

Regardless, I'm the kinda guy who likes a game if it's a GOOD game, regardless of genre. Singe player or MMO... I don't care, I trust bioware to give me a classic in whatever form they choose.

Definitely no. Being an MMO would destroy everything I value about Dragon Age.

Truth be told folks, think about this more sensibly.

The mechanics, the quest order, the fact that the crafting skills are akin to mmo gameplay plus the fact that theres no alignment system means....

Its quite likley that there will be an MMO sequal since bioware needs a fantasy mmo and not two sci-fi's.

As awesome as it would be to see a million shepards running around -not really- DA:O was more template for the players customisation. It makes more sense to turn it into something online-playable.

As I said, Bioware isnt about to make two sci-fi mmo's with TOR. I suspect once TOR is good and running, DA:MMO will be next.

Its just a theory, but I strongly believe it to be true. The awakening will likley pave the way for some plot development implying its going to take an army of wardens to defeat the dark spawn forever.

Come on folks, the man does have a point right?

Nope no point.

Been discussed to high hell...and I shall remiond people again, never at any point during development was multiplayer of any description considered.

Well it was considered very briefly, then scrapped, DA in the devs own words, is a SP game only, was always conceived to be, nothing else.

Though, they are prone to telling the odd prok pie...so who knows....but debating something that the makers of the game have said isnt going to happen, is rather, well....dumb.

There working on a "next gen" game. Im thinking it will either be a dragon age MMO or a Dragon age type of Battle net where you can log into pre made adventures, leveling maybe only 1 level.I've always thought leveling was to fast in all of bioware games except BG1... levels 1-7 over an entire game was acceptable.

No, leave the darkspawns alone!

And Bioware has already told us that there will be a trilogy, let them be done with that first before talking about *shrug* a mmo, seriously....

Yeah , There will be more to the series and Bioware still has to work with SW:TOR as MMo-Rpg.

We can judge by that , how that game will turn out. If it will be great then why not for DA : O series :)
