No, that's it, for some reason it didn't create one of those Char ... files for that character but it did for my other two sheps. In fact, it even created a level 49 and level 59 for my primary Shepard. But didn't create any at all for this one. I even went back and beat Sovereign again, continuing from the latest save for that character and it still didn't create file.

The problem is, I don't know why.

This sounds like a coding glitch/bug in your save files.  Even if you had saved regularly I have no idea how to 'check' at what point the error was introduced.  So, I would suggest either recreating the toon and going through another playthrough of ME1, or pretend you did that as you create a new toon in ME2.  Of course, all the minor choices you can make run as default.

yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. The face I can re-create. The choice I can't. I don't remember every tiny little thing I did. Oh well. I could do another playthrough and probably will because I want to take a renegade shep all the way through the trilogy but I may bash my head in if it turns out that playthrough won't import either.

I dont have any saved game either according to the ingame me2 importer
I did point it to the saved games after I found it in steam (config launcher dont exist on the desktop)
I had lvl 50 paragon male and 53 female renegade both have made the end (otherwise I wouldnt get to lvl 53 the second time around) and it dont find any saved games to import

The DLC doesnt seem to impact since male shepard didnt play but female did.

I also encounter audio problems but first things first <_<

*edit spelling correction

Wohoo ! finally I can import charakters (bought it on steam) !
Process involved a simpel reboot of computer , dunno why that made a difference but anyway :
First I copied the saved games into the save folder in me2 "\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save"
Obviously this didnt work so I visited the this forum and found that is should be "My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1" since I didnt have that folder I simply created it and put the saved files there.
Still didnt work , got rahter pissed off and visit this forum again and put in a reply in hopes someone could solve it (it is a great place after all) ;)
Rebooted the computer (updated antivirus) had lunch and when I got back it worked =] !
Hope someelse reads this and get it working

Hi,

I was having similar issues. I cannot find my save folder or files. I have searched for save, Save, char_ and Char_. All I see are file are 3 upk files in Mass Effect\\BioGames\\CookedPC.

I have turned on view hidden files and I still see nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks

That sounds to me like you were looking in Mass Effect's installation directory (under Program Files by default). The saves are under My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save

This folder does not exist for me, inside the Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect\\ folder the only folder is Screen Shots
in this directory for Mass Effect 2 I have all the other folders, save, bionaries, news, everything else I'm supposed to have, but this folder of bioware\\mass effect\\save does not exist anywhere on my computer
Did anyone else have this problem? is there somewhere else my saved games could be since I know they exist, I beat the game and  can open it up and load the last save, and a few other older saves, they must be somewhere, any suggestions? please and thank you
