How? I found about 5 or so on my first playthrough. I have enough resources to buy every upgrade again just because I've spent so much time looking for them (and I cant resist a rich planet as I will never ever find it again)
At least in ME1 you could almost always count on one planet being landable per system, ME2 not so much

I think there are less N7 sidequests than in Mass Effect 1, but they are longer and more varied. You can "buy" 4 more clusters on Illium by purchasing the maps, if you haven't done that yet.
I don't know how many N7 missions there are in total, but I would guess about 15.

bah, the entire game is shorter, While I was not a huge fan of the first it did many things better, while the ME2 is richer there is a lot less of it it seems, and a lot more resource gathering to dilute it.

Lost Operative
Imminent Ship Crash
Quarian Crash Site
Blood Pack Communications Relay
Blood Pack Base
Archeological Dig Site
MSV Strontium Mule
Blue Suns Base
Wrecked Merchant Freighter
Abandoned Research Station
Hahne-Kadar Facility
Endangered Research Station
Mining the Canyon
Captured Mining Facility
Eclipse Smuggling Depot
MSV Estevanico

FWIW, if you are having a hard time deciding what planets to scan, almost all of the N7 mission planets are "Rich", and worth the effort.

does anyone have a list of the sidequests not including the n7 missions, basically the hub world sidequests?

you don't have to scan to find N7 missions, all you need to do is to explore all planets and EDI will tell you when you explore it, then you fellow the direction and drop a probe on the location.
