I don't know if anyone has had this problem or not. Would have searched, but the search function is still gone. Anyway, the game runs beautifully on my machine except for one problem...whenever I try to go to the Citadel it won't load. My computer just freezes up for no apparent reason. It doesn't do this when loading any other world or place. Is this a problem with the Citadel? I don't think it's a problem with my computer, but you never know. My computer has a single-core processor, and I had to turn off the intro movies in order to get the game to run at all, if that might have something to do with it...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

based on your intro problem, i'd say you should go in Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\Movies and rename both CitHub_Arrival.bik and CitHub_Depart.bik to .old and try it again.

Okay, I just tried that, and it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

Yeah, I managed to figure that out just now. I finally got the Citadel to work. Thanks for helping you two.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the Citadel to work? I've tried everything, and nothing seems to work. If I turn off intro movies, I get stuck at a blank screen. If I turn them on, the game hangs at the loading screen. Is there something else I can do?

Ah, I got it. The secret is to replace all of the loading screen files, as described in the thread you linked to. Thanks for the link!
