What "big thing" was he referring to? The Human Reaper?

The same thing that the girls are lining up for good sir.

I wasn't too thrilled with Grunt until his bad joke about "get the point" complete with quotation finger gesture and his dry chuckle. That little detail completely endeared him to me.

That was a great line. I also liked his comment about not stabbing Shep in the back. Straight for the face he says.

Persuading that scout is even funnier if you use the Paragon option and have Tali in the party.

oh, what happens? I did use the Paragon options (maybe it's the same as Renegade in this case); what does Tali say?

Wrex is better imo, but grunt is nice. almost all characters in ME1 had more depth than the ones now, but that is probably because there are twice as many. I wouldn't call Grunt "deep", but I enjoy him.

Ashley had little depth. She quotes poetry, so what? Tali and Garrus were both interesting. I guess Wrex was pretty interesting (but certainlt no Minsc). Liara was your typical geeky archeologist. Kaiden had a nice backstory and was believable.

As far as ME2 is concerned, I think the only weak characters were Zaed and Jack. Even Jack's loyalty mission was poorly executed. Zaed didn't even get any conversations on the Normandy. He just talked about passed missions to assert what a bad ass he was.

I really thought the drell philosophy on the body and soul was interesting. Samara was another interesting character. On the surface, she's a zealot (like a paladin with his eternal quest to maintain his lawful good, uptight, persona). As you delve deeper and see her conflict with her daughter, you see that not only is she a person, but she's a hypocrite.

The most interesting character by far has got to be Legion. I think he has some of the best dialogue in the game.
