OK so I installed both disks to the hard drive... only thing is that when I just went to do Miranda's loyalty mission up popped "Insert Disk 2"
Like HUH? - Did I install the disks wrongly somehow?

you need the matching disk for what you're doing, put in disk two and your fine.

What it SHOULD do is only play from hard drive if disk 1 is in the drive... that way you wouldn't have to change the disk. Why it should need you to swap disks if all the data is on the hard drive is beyond me. What it should do is check for disk 1 and then say "Yup... legitimate disk" and not bother you again for that session.

would be nice to get a patch for that, I thought it might do the same thing and was disappointed. Oh well, it's still nice to install to put less pressure on the discs

Well that answers my question. I'm still going to leave them installed though; this game is worth the space.

Yeh, this game definately IS worth the (outer) space... hehe.
So Bioware... how about a patch so you don't have to switch DVDs if the game is installed on hard drive (both disks)?

i dont know that this is an issue bioware can fix. It is more likely a software protection protocol initiated by Microsoft in an effort to fight piracy.

Nah... I think it's a Bioware issue. All the game needs is to see if you have an official disk signature to show you own a legit copy... Using the same copy protection signature for both should have been possible. I've seen it done on the PC loads of times (lol, pun unintended)..

It isn't a Bioware issue, If I remember correctly, Lost Odyssey had the same problem. Also Xbox360 != PC, so the PC did it isnt an excuse.

Yeah, Bioware can't change this. It's a Microsoft issue. MS decided that for piracy prevention reasons, you have to have the disc version of anything you're playing in the drive to confirm you have it. Trouble is, each disc is counted as an individual game, ergo, needs an individual disc. And really, you have to change what? TWICE in the entire course of the game? I've had to switch Lost Odyssey discs twice that many times. Hell, I remember switching discs on Baldur's Gate more times than I've put discs in my 360.
