I'm not sure whether to take this as a joke or as bigotry. Either way, as the other forumite replied, Zevran and Leliana are the two 'curious' romance options in the game--and both make for very interesting romances, in my opinion.

Believe it or not some people dislike getting this sort of thing shoved down our throats and find it repulsive. Even though DA does not do this, the OP's question and concern was valid. No need to get mad because his opinion does not coincide with your own.

I respect and even appreciate this fact. However, broadcasting bigotry, if the OP was (in fact) doing so, is never acceptable. This has nothing to do with my personal beliefs on the matter--as you will notice, I didn't rally them in my response--but rather on the importance of circumspection when socializing through a medium that far-reaches many people.

Where in this game is any love option shoved down your throats? You dont like it - dont engage in it? Not a terribly difficult concept. I think Bioware has done a great job of sort of representing all sorts of people.

I have to agree, because I tend to feel the same repulsion when I'm playing a game and Mandatory Heterosexuality comes and demands I play along.

One can easily make a character 'interested' when you didn't intend to, I think we can all agree.

When all else fails, if a character seems to be getting interested, check their approval bar. If it says "Interested," "Care," "Adore," or "Love" instead of "Neutral," "Warm," or "Friendly," then they're, well, interested, and if you don't want them to be, it's a good time to explain that to them.

I'd love to know what game or games you've played where "this sort of thing" was ever once shoved down anyone's throat as some sort of mandatory element of the experience.

...So that I can play it myself.

I see it as just a game and I can imagine the character as I want. but thats just me.
