Actually the most spoken language, with a leading 54% of all europeans is English. 33% of the european union citizens speak german. But it is the second largest language. (and besides french, the second most horrible one)

German dubs are so bad they rape movies and games, So please give these fella's there english dubs

the thing is: while it wasn't as good as the original dub, the german dub of ME1 was pretty good (only know it from videos though, played ME1 in English), but the dubbing of ME2 is just horrible. It really ruins the atmosphere for me.

I never tried ME1 in german, but I have to agree that ME2 is basically unplayable without those english files we're waiting for. It feels like a cheap copy.

Well I am not buying any DLC for the Crappy German Version, also the next Mass Effect is coming to me only as a used Title OR as a budget price title. I am not willing to pay for misinformation and bad voice acting....for christ sake the German voice of Don Johnson (Sonny Crokett) is speaking the Codex Informations as he was selling underwear! I did not know if I should laugh or cry.

It is definitely technical feasible (Fable II proved so), otherwise noone would have announced it.

I received my German CE-copies of ME2 an hour ago.

One's for a friend of mine, the other one for me.

My friend's mother's English isn't that good, so he'll also accept the German dub's (even though he won't be happy with them according to his experience with German ME1).

I think I'll finish my actual ME1-playthrough first and keep my ME2-copy sealed so long.

This will give me time till end of this week.

If the announced DLC will be confirmed till then I'll keep my German version (even if it still takes some time until they release it), if not I'll return it and order the UK-version.



But - and this has been ignored nearly as often as it has been asked, so thank you Mr. Houston for your statement - most important and highly appreciated would be to give a statement in this matter.

Indeed. ME 1 was acceptable in German, but 2? The boss of Cerberus has the same voice like Anderson and Anderson himself has another voice than in part 1. There are also some ridiculous mistakes in it. So please Bioware, show mercy and give us all access to the English Voice of ME 1 and ME 2!!

Same problem as everyone else here. Was really looking forward to a weekend on the Normandy, instead the game remains untouched until the english files arrive. If they ever arrive. This is totally not cool. I will return the game and order the english version. Too bad you guys can´t even make a statement.

a simple "we are working on it, please be patient" or "something like that is not in development" is enough

Same for me here!
German Collectors Edition stays sealed till Bioware states the Engish Audio-DLC.
At the end of the week it'll be returned and an English copy will be ordered instead.

In the end EA profits by the confusion caused by the language-pack issue. some now buy two instead of one game, so they can play it in english.
So waiting and not telling would be smart from a buisness-standpoint, but wrong in so many ways..
but probably too early to judge..
 I also think EA can´t play it like: "we do not comment on rumors or speculations". the information was given by one of their  "representatives" in the official bioware-forum.

At least i bought ME2 twice now. The cerberus thingy makes selling a copy difficult .. which is probably intended. Anywho .. since me and i guess some others have given EA/Bioware an extra bonus, i would like to see it as an incentive for them to act quickly and make the eng. voice files available for those who are still waiting!

well, one could also argue this way:
In countless press releases Bioware stated that their angle on making every single on of their games was to make it better than the one before. Well, the German version of ME2 is worse, so it would be on their honor to provide the English language file and thus add that little thing that makes ME2 better than the game before.

I hope they'll do it with ME3 as they did with ME1, both english and german versions available at your average shop. When I ordered ME2, they assured me it's in english. And then, whoops - hey, it's german after all, you lose, good day sir!
