 I've completed one playthrough (A bit sloppy toward the end mind you, but a playthrough nonetheless) and plan on importing my FemShep over for another, but I was wondering if anyone didn't go to Omega as their first mission for Mordin. It's "highly recommended" by Miranda and TIM to get Mordin in order for him to study the Collector's and to protect ourselves from the Seeker Swarms, but is it actually all that necessary to recruit Mordin first, rather than say Grunt, Jack and Garrus first?

It's really possible, but it can hurt your chances of survival if you get sent to a colony before getting Mordin.
