"The Rising" by Brian Keene is hands down the best zombie book I have read. The Autumn series by David Moody is a close second.
What are some of y'alls favorites?

I even think they released the stories from the back of ZSG in a graphic novel recently.

Slightly OT - everyone enjoy Zombieland? If you haven't seen it you should (you are reading a OT forum on bioware about zombies, you must be a fan). I thought it was good, some jokes fell flat and endless bullet syndrom as well as disappearing zombies bothered me a bit.

What are some good zombie books you have read? I have always loved this genre of horror, and a small part of me would love to try to survive in a zombie apocalyptic world.

Rising and Autumn were mentioned, they made me reading the zombie stuff again.
World War Z, i dunno.. very high appraised, but it didn´t thrill me, could be the presentation, you have no characters you can get interested in.
My recommendations:
Dead Sea also from Keene.
The Morning Star Strain by Z.A. Recht, consists of "Plague of the Dead" and "Thunder and Ashes" right now.
Eden by Tony Monchinski, mixes the zombies with a crime thriller.. also very nice.
Dead City by Joe McKinney, also a neat little zombie mayhem.
and if you´re interested in comics, take a look at The Walking Dead - great series from Robert Kirkman.

I have read just about every book Brian Keene has put out and I believe, hands down, he has put out the best zombie novel to date.
World War Z was decent, but I had to push myself through it.
I am not that into comics, but I have thumbed through The Walking Dead at the book store. It seemed decent. Keene is putting out a new epic zombie story VIA comic book style. I am not sure how I am going to like it though.
You should also check out Day by Day Armagedon by J. L. Bourne. It was a decent journal style book.
As for Zombieland! It has got to be one of the best zombie horror comedy sence Shaun of the Dead!
