Ack. Well at this point Schenwa, I suggest you go through the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ and see if there is anything there that can help you. It sounds like you have some sort of problem downloading any DLC at the moment, if the other content isn't coming back.

Start DAO, if you are logged in, log out. Exit the game.

Try to delete the Manifest.xml file located in folder BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings

Stop and restart the DAOUpdate service. When service is back up running again, start the game. Login and see if that helped. It did for me.

This worked for me.  The Bioware folder mentioned is in the documents folder.  Deleted the manifest, logged back in, and it was right there.  Downloaded with no problem afterwards.

Well at least some of the problems are being fixed for some people without making the techs work................I think?  :innocent:

Using W7 64bit & steam - RTO just wasn't appearing - alt tabbing out of game and restarting the 'Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater' service under computer management made it appear instantly.

thank you sir, this worked perfectly for me (vista 64 bit).

Just to let everybody know, the links I posted last night before I went to bed were the 1.0 version of RtO, when the actual release was the 1.1 version. If you used my earlier links you'll probably want to download the updated version just in case. Sorry Everybody.

Here's the updated links.
Return to Ostagar Offer
Return to Ostagar Main

A second thanks then, as those (or global propogation) did the trick. Image IPB

If it helps anyone, I am a UK user with DAO on Steam. I left my "Downloadable Content" window open a few moments before I could see RTO. So my advice (after trawling the internet and these servers in growing frustration) is to leave the window open and wait.

That matches my experience.
I opened the download window, saw nothing, checked the forum and found a similar hint.
So, I re-opened the download window, and it appeared after about 1 minute. (A previous poster mentioned 5 minutes).
It's probably due to server-load and propagation delays.

I have now played it throug, took over an hour for me. Really enjoyed it.

I went to the Return to Ostagar DLC page, bought the points (now at 800), did all the rigmarole with the Updater service on/off logged in/out - waited... still waiting.

Oh just popped in!

Still - it would be so much easier to have a straight link to a zipped file to download directly *grumbles*

Finally got it to show up. Instead of just deleting the manifest.xml file in the settings folder, I had to delete all the .xml files in that folder and log back in. I have to redownload all my dlc, a big inconvenience, but RTO finally showed up for purchase.

i just quit and reload the game twice. Something appeared in the "download progress" so fast that i couldnt read even the name of the file, then RTO became available.

Yeah, I had that issue orignially just redeeming the promo codes that came with game I purchased.

Well I've once again uninstalled/re-installed the game in the hopes of some kind of magic happening although I must confess doing this over and over is getting mighty old. LOL

Right now I am waiting for all the paid for stuff that shows up in my registered game promotions to actually appear in my available content... so far no luck and that's been a while now. *sigh*

Could you guys at least tell us if RTO is going through Sony's certification? We've been waiting a long time for this DLC and its frustrating that everyone else has it but we dont. I know its not Biowares fault but could you give us a little news on the PS3 version's status?

Well I followed a tip i read and moved the DAUpdater.xml file from the \\\\dragon age\\data folder to my desktop relaunched game and there it was for me to purchase and download thanks for the tip. Once done i moved the file back to the original folder, it didnt recreate the file so figured i put it back.

Deleting the manifest.xml file worked for me as well.  (Didn't have to go through the rest of the steps listed tho, just the deleting the file.)  It showed up immediately and I was able to start the download.
