I've had this game since the last of December. I've played the KOTOR games over and over and love them. I love DAO too but have waited for this DLC since Jan. 5th. Almost a month later and PS3 doesn't have it yet. But it arrived on 360 around 16th? I hate to say this but I AGREE with the people on here in the statement that the love for us PS3 users isn't as big as for PC or 360 and all the *maze*talk won't exactly help. But thank you Bioware for the wonderful game and can't wait for the expansion.

what's also sad is the fact that there is no ps3 thread about RtO... we have to "invade" the pc/360 threads to find out anything in regards to the ps3 version.

Agreed

There is a small annoying mistake in RTO and I'd like to let you know about it...

You know that when you go into the screen of saved games to load one of them if you click on one of them, on the right side of the screen you may read a short description of the point of the adventure where you are...
I loaded my Post Campaigne Save and played RTO..
When I finished it I went back to the camp and I made a save which I have called "After RTO save".
Well. If I click on it, I read in the description that "Landsmeet is over, and now you have to go to Redcliffe to prepare yourself to fight the Archdemon".
I nearly had an heartache wen I saw this!!! Thousands of questions in My Mind...

"What should I do now? Should I have to play again the ending of campaign to have a new Post Campaigne Save which includes the progress I made with RTO?"
"Should I have to load in Awakening my Post Campaign Save losing the progress I made in RTO?"
"Should I have to load in Awakening my "After RTO Save" losing all my decisions after the Landsmeet and with them most of the xpac reactivity???

I loaded then my "After RTO save" and I could see that into the diary I had the last dialogues of original campaign and that all the missions were complete, and that all the decisions I took were there. Going out of the camp I wasn't allowed to go to Redcliffe...Only into DLC areas

So, I hope that Bioware made only an error in the tooltip... but really, guys, that description in the gamesave is still leaving me a little worried Image IPB

No kidding. I read something about early this week in a different announcement thread. When are we going to get ours?

I am nearly sure (99%) that my "After RTO save" is a "full save game" which includes all the decisions I made in my DAO campaign... but I think it would be nice if some dev could ensure us that this description of savegame is only a mistake and we don't have to be worried about it

That was the original announcement for the Pc users..with Ps3 coming along "later".   Far as I know they didn't state any specific date, but maybe they're going to soon.   Hope you guys get your RTO.

It's still being certified by Sony. As soon as they finish certified it'll be relased to PS3 owners. Well as soon as humanly possible anyway since the PS Store updates on specific days in different regions.

Hmm on the one hand i agree on the other hand i don't expect much from a PC based company going multiplatform, I'm sure it's all new & scarey for bioware when it comes to jumping threw Sony's hoops (and they certinly have many)

They did get dragon age released on time with pc/360 in Nov. and the expansion looks to be on time as well, i will trust however that Bioware will NOT make a habbit of releasing future DLC late again, you're still green dealing with Sony but your sophmore effort should show improvement children at bioware

Hi, Has this been released for PC yet? It is not showing up as downloadable content for me? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Yes it has..if you click the blue bioware tag at the top of this thread, you'll see you are posting in the PC release thread, and that it was released on January 29 for PC.    The blue bioware tag, allows you to see only dev and moderator posts, none of the spam that follows.

You might want to check through this thread, as some folks have stated that by refreshing their game etc and logging out and in a few times it shows up in the downloadable content inside your game.  Then you can apply your Bioware points once it does.

Once the tested product goes to Microsoft and Sony for certification..the whole thing relies on those two third parties for when its finally pronounced good to go.    Bioware can't force them to move any faster than they do, and I am sure that noone would want that...as it could result in more errors.

I'm sorry you had to wait longer than the rest of us.     Its currently in certification from what I understand..perhaps it will be soon.

three sentences:
1) Any save can be imported into Awakening, even the one with final quest unfinished
2) You can check your level, character skills and you questlog so you know that every action is remembered in post-game save
3) Final save puts characters to time before the final battle so every addon like Ostagar takes place before Archdemon is destroyed but still it is valid save to use in DA:A

Put your mouse over the "Games" tab at the top of the site, then put it over Dragon Age Origins in the new menu that slides and then click Game Patches in the new meny that slides out.

Well, it's still going through Sony Certification from what we heard earlier in the thread. Once it finishes up there, I'm sure it'll be available the next time the PS Store updates.

Late we heard anything was the 29th. I do not know how much longer the sony cert takes compared to the ones for the 360 and PC but surely it cant tske that much longer eh?

Hopefully we will get RTO by this weekend

How do I buy the points needed to dl RTO? Everytime I try to buy it, it says I do not have enough points, but it doesn't offer any help on how to get points.

If '3' is indeed correct, and the start of Awakening must determine if the Archdemon is still around or not, then this could be a problem for the Awakening story line, or worse - crash the game....

If I rememeber, you get an achievement after the Archdemon is killed, surely Bioware will programme Awakening to search an imported toon achievement record to determine if the the 'big kahuna' is still around, yes?

Pretty sad if not the case, and Bioware forces everyone to re-play from post Landsmeet on if you want to do RtO...

Yes.. The best thing to do (just to put all the events in correct temporal order) would be for sure to load an earlier save (whenever you want...just it's before you go to Redcliffe) play RTO and then re-play the rest of the adventure... But I have just finished my 3rd playthough... Now I don't really feel like doing it one more time .. even if it would be only the last part of the adventure. Maybe a day I will do it but not now...

Well.. I have already decided  I will not import the automatic post-game save but I will take my last manual save that I made after the coronation and after I talked to all my companions, (just before go out to celebrations...)
I will renounce to few equiments I found in RTO.. They don't really matters to me... I bought and played it only to implement the story and to discover something new about the plot..not sure for some few experience point, equipment and gold coins...

If every save can be imported that would mean that the result of the final battle is irrelevant. With that they have to choose one ending and take only your character stats, items of the savegame for the story of Awakening.

No.. this was well explained by Melo...
The Xpansion will be more or less reactive to your choises depending on the save game you decide to load...
It's obvious that if you load a save game when you are near half game you will have a "standard xpac beginning"
If you load a save after the final battle the xpac will be very differen because it will "adapt" itself to your choises...

By the way...If you have a final save it's obvious that you will load it... Why would you have to load an half-game save?? It would be senseless... don't you thinjk so?

Or simply they expect people to have completed the final battle and that you will ultimately use the latest save for your character to access Awakening. I have already spent some time after story line completion sorting out my characters making sure I have all the gear I stashed in the storage chest on my character after completing RTO and that I set the save ready for transfer.

I loved the way the DLC was accessible after the Final battle by simply loading the last auto save the game makes so, for characters that didn't have the opportunity to play RTO due to release post completion.
