For all those asking about the ps3 version, remember this.

Appearantly at Sony for certification process.

Sony blames Bioware for the delay.

Playstation Store updates it's contents on every Thursday.

DLC is one of the lowest ranking concerns when updating the Playstation Store to Sony.

hmm doesn't show up in my downloadable content menu in game and when i try to get it via website it ask for my login password then says it is invalid. :(

ok ignore the above it seems the website and content server must've been having a funny five minutes, though that said it still dosn't show in the offical DLC page on social.bioware.

I could not wait any longer. It was just too much so I marched into a shop and bought the pc version of DA as well. Now when i have all three versions I will be always on the winning side :wizard: Rto worked perfectly after updating with the patch. By financial point of view: Play more eat less - that's my motto.

You know I give up waiting for the PS3 to get it. I have been patient and I cannot be patient anymore. I give up. I won't buy RtO if it comes out in the PS Store. This BS of Bioware/EA and Soney dragging their feet with this is too much. I'll get Awakening, but that's it. Nothing else. To Hell with it.

LOL! I'm totally with you on this one. if the Ps3 dlc doesn't come out by march 1st I'll be doing the same thing. Unfortunately for me that means getting my cd-rom drive fixed (it's jammed for some unknown reason) as well as getting a new video card. I don't understand that. It's an E-machines pc, with windows vista, less than 2 years old, and it needs a new video card in order to run the character creator for the pc. wtf

I cut out from my confession the following part : I got home face all smily guarding the game in my hand, then it dawned to me: my computer's dvd drive is in the different country as I am now, at home, I had replaced the dvd drive with extra battery...

Logically, like a proper female: the first thing I did was cried and banged the kitchen cupboards and the floor with my fists because some higher power clearly was trying to prevent me from playing (quite reasonable logic this - the answer could have not been more practical related). I checked the opening hours of nearest computer shop - ah balls, closed. I started arguing with my bigger (not better) half because I was certain he did not want me to use his computer for gaming as he had already been few weeks without tv because of my hobby (and now he was in danger of losing his other entertainment centre). What he was actually trying to explain was that last part was true but he did offer me his computer (and got his tv back).

Ok, not lacking in computer but then more obstacles arose. After tens of updates of drivers and whatnot (note: for computer, the game itself was sound), I finished what I wanted, but thing was that the bloody computer would have probably coughed blood even if I was playing Tetris on it (Solitaire would be impossible! The graphics, you know..). After updating pretty much everything and having the graphics at lowest resolution I have managed to create a lovely cycle : 1hour of play after which lagging starts and I have to run defragmentation and restart and pray god and pedal faster to create more electricity.  :o  Point being:  Why couldn't they have equipped me with patience and why can't swallows carry also dvd drives as an addition to coconuts by holding a string between themselves? Anyways. Was worth it. Will be worth even more when I can actually play it through in one part with proper machinery. Or then the point may have been, it may not be easy but it is worth it.

What's with all the hatin on PS3? I feel like PS3 is so much cooler than XBox (especially since you can get online for FREE and not pay XBox LIVE ridiculous prices), but all I hear from people is that xbox's version of DA:O is better, the PC's version is better, not to mention XBox tends to have way more awesome games available (more awesome as in quantity not quality). I don't know who to blame, Bioware or Sony. I'm so sad. I pet my PS3 saying "it's okay buddy, I still think you're awesome" and I just want my friggin expansion already! I'm also hesitant with fear for when Awakenings and DA2 come out.

Hey Bioware, PS3 PATRONS JUST WANT TO BE LOVED!:?

Boo hiss! Sheesh, if any more PS3 users buy a different platform's version of this game just to play RtO you will actually be giving BioWare incentive to further delay it's release. Delaying is bad! And if after all this certifying we have the same pains as PC and XBox, well, then I may be soured as well.... Ooo look BioShock2 is coming out.... <hint hint>

yes, bioshock 2, heavy rain, god of war 3... RtO and awakenings aren't a priority to me anymore, just like the ps3 isn't a priority to bioware.

i had considered this, but i won't spend an extra $50 on a game that is supposed to be supported on the system that i bought it for.  at this point, i am very leery about even purchasing rto for my ps3.  i have waited so long that i really don't care about it anymore.  awakening will be the deciding factor.  if they release the expansion on time for all systems, then i will probably pick up rto at that time.  if awakening is as fubar'ed as rto, then i will trade in my copy of da:o for another game.

i have no problem supporting bioware IF they support the ps3 version of da:o.  Image IPB

Final Fantasy 13 also fellas :)

Either way. Bioware did a tremendous job on Dragon Age.

I haven't picked up a book in a good while and I bought the two novels by David Gaider right after I finished the game.

I was impressed with RTO, thanks BioWare! I have only just completed Dragon Age Origins, after a protracted playthrough. This may not be the right place to say this, but I didn't want to create a new thread, nor could I find one to suit my needs...

Dragon Age Origins is the most amazing game I have played, and even though the combat and UI and all that RPG stuff is marvelous, as good as it can be, its the story that elevates this game above and beyond. I will never forget the feeling I had when experiencing the epilogue, and the strong emotions regarding my companion's fates. In fact, after hearing of certain character's fates, I cried.

The story in Dragon Age really raises the bar even higher for BioWare. Before DAO, KotOR was my most 'emotionally impactful' game, so I think that really speaks of the kind of games BioWare are making. They are paragons of emotional involvement in videogames and I thank them for it. There is far too much dumbing down of human expression in popular entertainment, and to my perspective DAO fights against that tooth and nail.

Thank you so much for this game BioWare. I think you are well down the road of making games just as emotionally compelling from a storytelling perspective as cinema or novels. I think Dragon Age has a deeper story and more complex and believable  characters than most modern films and many books. And since you are playing the protagonist, it gives you a far deeper connection than most story in cinema and novels. I can't wait for more Dragon Age and Mass Effect and Star Wars: The Old Republic, in the future!
