I used to think bioware was a good company now i have changed my mind they suck. When a company wont even answer email that tells me the dont give a flying f about loyalty to consumers. If they know one system is harder to work with why dont they work on it first then they can release them at the same time.

Karl: Hi, my name is Karl. How may I help you?
: yes
: well I hope so anyway
: I am hoping to find out when RTO will be released for PS3 I have been asking on the forums for weeks
: called sony they gave me your number which said to try this area
: there are claims on the site that you are not concerned about when it gets out for the PS3 that in a statement released Bioware had claimed that the PC was the main concern and that consols came second
Karl: okay
: I am just seeking clarification we have repeatedly asked for a moderator to assist us on the forum just to acknowledge that they where even reading it and nothing
: I am sorry RTO (Return To Ostagar DLC) for Dragon Age Origins
: are you there
Karl: As such there is no final date for the release of Return To Ostagar DLC for PS3
Karl: as soon as we have the official date then, you'll get the information on the website
: I dont understand this
: How is it possible that you have released it on the Xbox and the PC for almost 2 weeks now and yet nothing is being posted about the PS3
: not even what the delay is
: its not making since
: I am a Ps3 user and I cant believe there is no way to know when the RTO DLC will be ready thats insane. I am in a management position and cant comprehend telling my boss or my customers that I didnt know what I was doing or how long it would take. I also find it difficult to understand the lack of concern for customer feed back in an industry where success or failure rest so firmly on your reputation and user ratings. I thought this game was a 10 and should have been VGOTY instead of Demon's Souls. I can see lowering the value a great deal now though when I consider that everything I saw in the games future is not going to happen. I have a friend who has already traded in his version to Gamestop and has stated that he will never purchase another Bioware product again. The replay value of this game is one of the things that I always thought made it so great I mean I got Darksiders and just like God of War you ace it and it sits on the shelf. I thought this would be the one game that never hit the shelf but there it sits waiting indefinitely I guess
Karl: I can understand your urgency, but as of now we wont have any official release date of Return To Ostagar DLC for PS3. As soon as we have any information we'll update it on our EA website, then you'll be able to purchase it.
: ok but can you please tell me why you dont know when its going to come out
: who is at fault
: sony just told me on the phone it is up to you and on the bioware site they are saying its sony
Karl: its on testing mode right now that's why it is taking sometime
: testing from EA/Bioware/ or Sony
Karl: from bioware
: ok thank you just want to make sure I have my rage pointed in the right direction and can redirect those that are pointing it in the wrong direction
This was a conversation I had with a rep from EA after calling and talking to sony direct sony stated that they where not to blaim and gave me a number to EA called and was told to use the online chat. It is all biowares fault. They are entirely to blaim for this entire fiasco and they tried to shrug it off on another well established company wow. Sony made it clear that when you get DLC it comes from Biowares Dragon Age Servers. This company is done in my house.[/quote
awesome lil tongue lashing, thanks for posting this

Guys.. It's not really worth getting all excited about.. The dlc RTO is not worth the trouble, it's not a very "giving" addition to the game.

lol Like i figured, the "blame sony exscuse when we forgot to send the info in one time"
So now we all get to sit round waiting cause Bioware was too incompitent to get the info for the DLC to Sony on time, goodjob!

It isn't that the PS3 users are getting excited about it over it's worth, it is the fact that they were lied to. I was under the impression that RtO was being help up by Sony, in the validation process. It is now 2 weeks later basically and we have heard no news and now to find out that the DLC was in fact not held up by the validation process and that it is still being tested by Bioware. All would be forgiven if they had told the truth to begin with. I still would like to have the DLC which is why I check daily to see if there is any news and yet here I am reading a thread for the PC release trying to find information on the release of the PS3 version because no one official has even bothered to open up a thread about the PS3 version or even really try to give us an update.

Question.Has anyone thought Sony sent it back to Bioware, due to bugs, AND that's why Bio's working on it?

Well the PSN store update and to no ones surpise the RTO DLC is not there, log in to the game, check the downloadible content and again nothing
Now i'm a patient person and was willing to let this slide, but 3 weeks as of now late ontop of the month long delay for all 3 systems equals up to a buncha bullsh!t
Lotta RPGs coming out between Feb & March while you incompitent doorknobs at Bioware manage to toss Sony under the bus for your screw ups, i'm thinking maybe i don't ned to buy that march expansion, maybe i'll buy it from someone off ebay just to make sure you don't get my $40 now, maybe i'll go play FF13 instead & maybe you all can learn how to do your damn jobs correctly

Damn... thats all I can say. Because as a PS3 user what I want to say is either a long string of foul words that would make a sailor blush, or cant be expressed right using my ps3 to type

Kail Ashton for president ! ! ! No doubt I am on the same page there is no way I will hand over anymore $ $ $ to these guys. I really did like this game but with the way everyone has been treated from consumers to partners these are not the guys I want to help be successful in the video game industry. I mean this time it was DLC and you see how they treated everyone can you imagine if they became the Square of the next gen consoles handing them that power would just be foolish of us. What just so they could abuse us latter. The best way to push a company out of this market is to just stop handing them cash and then when they drop new stuff go to every video game site you know and give it horrid user ratings. Maybe then Bioware will consider at least getting someone on the forums to let peeps vent frustrations on.

LAWYERS. That's who. They're to blame for just about everything, in my opinion. They probably cited some legal mumbo jumbo to the normal employees at Bioware and Sony and, thus, they can't say squat without the company's legal department getting all over their buttocks.

I despise learning that RtO is again not out for the PS3. I want to start a second playthrough on DAO, but I'd like to do so with *all* of the downloadable content. Damnit. Double damnit.
Well, I guess I'll move on to Bioshock 2 and MAG while waiting.

It's sad that we can only have informations only because of Phosphorus213 call transcript.
If there is some problems I think that Bioware should simply say something like "we are encountering technical issues, we apologize about that and we will let you know when RTO will be released", the most irritating thing is that Bioware only write on dao official website "PS3 Coming soon".

you might be right. it could have failed the certification process - given the buggy mess DA: O already is, it wouldn't surprise me.

I have a lot of respect for Bioware, despite the delays. I admit they could be way more communicative to ps3 users about the content delays, but it could be that they are all desperately trying to get the game release out on time that they don't have the extra resources to fully respond to each complaint on the forum so have avoided looking at it until they have something concrete to say.
It is highly possible that after the initial release of the dlc that their team was moved onto other projects such as Awakening etc in order to get that out on time for all platforms, so those working on the ps3 dlc for return to ostagar may well be working on the bare minimum which is why it is taking so long to test. They have said that Awakening will be out for all three platforms at the same time, and if you asked me which I would rather have; the dlc of RtO now, or Awakening out on time for all platforms, I would choose the latter. It could be that the ps3 versions are taking far longer than they anticipated to make/test since they are not used to it, and so are pooling their resources for the big release, rather than the small dlc.
Basically, as difficult as this is for ps3 fans of the game I would say please try to be patient. Assume there will be very little communication from Bioware for a while and just hope against hope that Awakening will make up for the extra long delay. After all, hating Bioware because you love a game so much that you desperately want a dlc says a lot about how passionate the game has made you. Without Bioware this game would not exist at all, and that my friends would be a tragedy.

...I love seeing people respond like
OMG NO DLC. I NEVER BUY UR GAMES AGAIN.
Bioware makes good games, and because they fail to deliver a buggy one-hour DLC, to a game, you will now boycott them? Lots of good that'll do
You miss out on awesome games, and eventually some of us get RTO and Awakening

for me its not about the delay as much as it is about the treatment of the consumers and its partners why would you throw it out there hey its not our fault its sony and why did EA have to be the one to tell me what was going on they could have had one moderator make a post 3 lines long every couple days or so and I dont think people would be as angry I know I wouldnt I just dont like to hand someone 80 dollars of my money just to have them take a dump on my chest. Then to have them answer post on other forums but just ignore this one all together. Its not like there have been no moderator postings in the past week since people really went into overdrive.

The sad truth... Awakenings will be out way before RtO on the PS3. Oh well I kept getting angry about it but since no one really cares up at headquarters why waste my time... I hope you all get diarrhea in traffic on whatever highway you take to work!!!
#923
Posté 12 février 2010 - 03:40
lol I second the diarrhea curse and would like to add a major case of herpes to it also. I wish I knew all this crap before I bought the ps3 version. I wonder if bioware would be willing to take my **** ps3 game back and give me the pc version!!!
#924
Posté 12 février 2010 - 03:52
I was thinking the same. I was even tempted to sell my game and download the pc version from "somewhere", but I really dislike that. One of my friends has a bootleg copy and offered me to use it but I told him "no, sorry, but I already spent lots of money in the collector's edition, and time in my playthroughs, to do that; thanks but no thanks."

as far as the DLC not being worth it? its deffinatly worth it and besides its freakin 5 bucks. i dont even own a PS3 yet and i agree it is a little reddiculous how sony and EA is treating this. besides it cant be that hard to make a game for the PS3 its basically a more cost affective blue ray player. hope you all get yer DLC. cuz alot of us are tired of all the whining about a little dlc.
