a small 10 seconds video about awakening gets a whole new thread in the announcement forum
but the ps3 version of RTO is nowhere mentioned
even the xbox version got 2 and more official threads in this and the other dao forum
im not mad about the delay itself ... but more about not being informed and left alone with speculations simply not fair

Why else would BioWare be so silent? They screwed up. The Ps3 copy of the original game struggles to run on my machine (choppy, choppy, stuttery lag-fest) It runs just dandy in SD, but like mud on my HD. I've never had a game run as poorly on my Ps3.
I imagine the company might be going through a little soul searching right now and probably wondering if it can "continue" to support the Sony platform.
I frankly wonder if they can as well.

yeah bro I posted on this thread a couple days ago a copy of a conversation with an EA rep where he clearly states that it is Bioware that is at fault and I contacted sony by phone and they confirmed that they are in no way responsible. So

They better keep supporting the ps3. I just pre-ordered and paid off Awakening today. Im sure they would not stop supporting the ps3 because a lot of people would be outraged, including myself.
I really mean no disrespect in this post but to be honest I dont think they care if people are outraged thats what 90% of the posts here are about the lack of concern from these people.

This does sound like bethesda all over again but I really think bioware will come through in the end. I will take them at their word it's in Sonys hands but dam any offical word would be appreciated. But it's getting like a pizza that's 5 hrs late and the delivery guy still wants a tip.
bro did you not see my link to a conversation with an official EA rep and he states clearly that it is Bioware and I called sony direct and they stated that they have nothing to do with it. There is no reason for sony to create outrage on thier own platform just wouldnt make any since. EA rep flat out admitted its bioware for sure.

Then EA better bring the heat down on BioWare or put someone in charge who can stay on top of things because this is B.S.

So are we sure that the lacking of RtO on ps3 is a bad thing ?
Another thing I don't like, but this is another thing and I should blame on PSN, is that :
I'm an European citizen and 1€ is about 1.5 $ , why if an expansion costs 5 $ in USA should I pay it 5 € ? The same thing is for games.

i dont know this exactly please correct me if im wrong but i think it could be THE nr 1 kontinent in purchasing games coz USA ppl earn less then europes and have to pay much more by themselves such as stuff when they get sick or so its theyr system
same with china i dunno what chinese ppl earn but i dont believe they got more money for "luxury" stuff like the euopeans do ... + i think the european mentality on buying stuff "they dont really need" is way higher as it is in china or USA
i might be wrong but i think based on that the european ppl are the best option to squeeze money out .... only other point is USA and China have way more ppl than europe
simple math
if you have 1000 ppl from each kontinent it seems to look like that:
600 out of 1000 europes buy games
400 out of 1000 chinese buy games
500 out of 1000 USA buy games
of course USA and china have way more ppl in the kontinent .... well i hope someone can follow on what i wanna say >.<

"More money for luxury stuff like the Europeans do"? What world do you live in? The entire world economy is still screwed. But it does seem slightly rediculous that we have to pay more for the exact same thing that the US gets. Right now the € is trading at $1.36 about, from which $5 translates as €3.67. I'd personally like this clear oversight rectified. They're not just "scewing" PS3 users, they're "scewing" European players in general with this little scam.

PS- The chinese pay LESS for most video games/software then americans or euros do, one of the many reasons mmorpg farming is a viable business there. The euro gets jacked almost across the board with amenities...movies,games,comics,etc.

1. the pc version is already out so this thread is "useless" to pc users now
2. ps3 got no own thread so its no shame to use this one
what dhaise said is what i meant ... the companies (movie, games, music etc.) takes the most advantage out of the europeans coz they pay and buy the most
if all europeans would suddenly completely stop buying games, dvds, bue rays and cds. all those companies would loose a lot of money and some of them would have to close their buisiness coz the main-money comes from europeans
its just not fair
and about "more money for luxury stuff..." what i meant was the mentality of the countries (kontinents) for example the americans they have no social help system like germany has, getting money when no job, getting hospital bills payd, etc... americans afaik have to pay for all that themselves so i.e. they have less money for "luxury" stuff like games and dvds....
about chinese i dont know their social system but afaik chinese ppl are minimalistic people not "throwing their money out of the window" like for example germans do
if a german (or european) want something they just buy it ... in chinese i believe they think about it "do i really need this now" and then decide to buy or not to buy
other countrys other mentalitys ... i didnt mean to insult anyone or say a country is poorer as the other they just have other "buying-mentality"
hope that brings a little light into what i said

I don't care anymore. If BioWare wants to play favorites and scew us PS3 owners. Let them. I took my name off the pre-order list for Awakening and got my money back.I just might get rid of Dragon Age all together. I think I'll put it towards Final Fantasy 13 Versus. At least Square Enix is honest
Apparently you don't play FFXI; there's plenty of shadiness over at S-E.
In any event, honestly no amount of complaining anyone does is going to make RtO come out any faster for PS3. It will come out when it comes out. Honestly the bigger issue is going to end up being how much people still waiting have built the dlc up in their minds, and how disappointed they will be when it's not earth shattering, and amazing.
It's a good add-on. It's an add-on, though; not essential to the game. No amount of complaining on this thread or any other will make it come out faster. All I can really offer is the advice to play something else, or find another thing to think about until it does come out.
Additionally, it is quite insulting to have your integrity questioned constantly. It's also very unappealing to constantly be the target of disrespect from people who seemingly have nothing better to do but to hop on forums and type out insults for 8 hours a day. Perhaps the reason that users aren't receiving up-to-the-second updates on RtO is that it's quite obvious that nothing Bioware says, short of "Sony has approved the dlc, buy it today!" does anything aside fuel anger, insults, disrespect, and conspiracy theories. No matter what they say, not everyone is going to be happy with it... maybe it's time to just give it a rest and accept that no matter what you say here, it will come out when Sony + Bioware are both ready for it to be released.
That's my 2 cents anyway. Carry on.

your right it doesnt help anything, but isnt it the right of the fans to be kept informed on whats going on? most ppl here dont complain about the dlc itself anymore its about letting stood in the rain without anything but silence
its correct that it cant be changed anyway and that it will be out when its out, but just a few simple words all 2 - 3 days would have been nice and kept ppl on ease ... but just being silent isnt the correct way to go imo
and even now that ppl have started to insult the company itself and starting a revolte against bioware they remain silent and dont even try to keep their trust and calm ppl down ... this the only thing i dont understand, it feels like they dont care and thats exactly the point which makes the ppl so angry
@ gezzy
if they would have done it with the pc version you wouldnt say that now, if you cant understand whats happening and what concerns the ppl then you shouldnt be insulting
