"Dragon Age: Origins" for the PS3 was the first Bioware game I ever purchased — and I have *not* regretted it one bit. The game is absolutely amazing and is the best RPG I've played since "Chrono Trigger" and "Chrono Cross."
I've also purchased the PS3 add-on content (Shale and Warden's Keep) and enjoyed the content they both added to DAO.
I patiently await the release of RtO and, even more so, the "Awakenings" expansion in March.
I can't say I'm not disappointed with the delay of RtO on the PS3, but to say it will keep me from purchasing future Bioware products is ludicrous. I will not deny myself another DAO-like experience!
All that said, Bioware, communication is incredibly important. Others in this thread have mentioned it — some, not so diplomatically — and I must reiterate it. Even if it's nothing more than a sticky post in the PS3 support forum with a daily or weekly update, it's better than nothing. And that thread could be used for all other DAO-related content as well, once RtO comes out. Posted on the official Bioware forums, folks can link to that thread, or quote it, elsewhere on the Internet. One sticky post with a *brief* daily or weekly update on the status of forthcoming content and/or patches would be alll it takes, Bioware. Surely an employee could be alloted 15 to 30 minutes of his or her time a day (or week) to update the aforementioned thread. And by updating, I mean just posting new information, not necessarily debating or answering thread posters' questiions. Heck, you could avoid even that by locking the thread to Bioware employees only.
I don't know if anyone at Bioware will read this post, but let it be known that I thoroughly enjoy DAO and really would like to continue my adventures in that wondrous world Bioware has crafted.
