probably been said already but it's late and i cant be bothered reading 48 pages of blah blah blah.. i've got points and still cant buy RtO.. why teh heck not.. fully patched to 1.03 with awakening, tried everything hemish suggested in his post about tech issues.. all i get is that damnmed annoying "please try again later" bollox that i've been seeing almost every day for 5 weeks.. this has been a recurring issue for many users i've noticed from other forums, so why is it still an issue.

I saw it fine, bought it fine and it went to downloading. Nothing happened though, it stayed at 0% for 10 minutes. I tried restarting the game, and now it's not even showing in the download list. Not spending another 400 points buying it again when I already bought it..



Generally I am very annoyed by the distribution system as most of my other DLCs are unavailable if I log on with my account currently. Strangely enough, there's no problem if I stay logged out tho.

I was able to get stone prisoner and wardens keep without any issues. But RTO has given me nothing but problems. I tried for 2 weeks to purchase it, and it always errored out and told me to try again later. I have since deleted the offer manifest per another forum post, and now RTO doesnt even show up as an available DLC to purchase. So then I tried a fix provided by bioware that goes through and checks all your manifests and it said everything was fine. WTF ARE YOU DOING BIOWARE. If you're going to use a DLC distribution system at least GET IT RIGHT. What is so hard about this? What pisses me off even more now, is that I have 400 worthless points that I paid for with nothing to show for it. THANKS! More so, I have yet to see ANY response from ANY representative from Bioware or EA saying "something is fcked, and were working on it" or a provided workaround. seriously the crappiest customer service ive seen from any game manufacturer.

I have the points necessary but I don't even get the option to pay for it.

Nevermind, it works now.
For some reason I had to restart the game twice and it showed up.

I just bought the awakening expansion but i want to give a try at RTO, i have the points to buy the DLC but i can´t find it on my game downloadable content, any help to solve this problem???

Bought it, but can't get it to load. It's telling me it needs to load to CD, but the CD is full.

Am I thick, or just older than I look????

Same here. 560 points to use but nothing to download. Logged into the game and the site (social and EA) Nothing. Origins and Awakening registered. The first one at bioware or EA who can resolve this will get my undying love. Man or woman.

In vista (32 bit) I went to Start>Administrative Tools>Services and found that my Dragon Age Origins: Content Updater service was 'stopped'.
So I set the service to automatic and started it. Started the game and logged into my account where I still did not see the updated content. After that I went to "C:\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daupdatersvc.service.exe" and manually ran it from there and immediately saw the content in the available content folder. I downloaded it successfully and am a happy camper yay.

I bought and downloaded RTO and had no problems with that part. RTO installed and shows in the content tab, but...it is not enabled and I can't play it. It says I need patch 1.02 before it will enable. I have already installed the new patch, 1.03. RTO will not enable with patch 1.03 and the old patch 1.02 is no longer available (least I can't find it on the site). I filed a report with EA support and was told to un-install the game and do a fresh install, which I did and then the patch (1.03). RTO is still not enabled. I can only guess that RTO is not compatible with patch 1.03. Anyone else having this issue? In any event, I will not be buying any more downloads from EA as much as I like Dragons Age.

Everyone having trouble with downloading it should give Kepha's idea a go and check your services (Start -> Run -> Services.msc) and see if Dragon Age Content Update is running/enabled or not. If not, start it and try again.

Honestly, I got this DLC without any hassle. You shouldn't need to uninstall, that's EA's fix for everything. And a side note about torrenting DLC: Good luck, it'll probably show as Unauthorised. Barefoot Warrior, AFAIK, RTO needs 1.03 to run. Make sure you're logged in to Bioware when your game starts (honestly, some people don't even know this) and open your Downloadable Content Pane. Wait for your information to update (your point balance should show) and it should now appear. If it still doesn't, Bioware's DLC server must be experiencing technical difficulties.

NosgothSR, I don't see why not. They're both Dragon Age: Origins.

@Squeelookle. Thanks for the info, I have done this and RTO is still disabled. I'm starting to wonder if this is a 'Vista' thing, all though I don't know why. I downloaded and played 'Wardens Keep' and 'Shale' without any problems, so ya got me. Non the less, I appreciate the feed back, thanks! If I do get this stooopid thing to work, I'll post it here....don't hold your breath on that one...LOL! In all fairness, I should say that I don't have any issues with customer support at EA, they got right back to me and did what they could, but I will think twice about anymore downloads from them.

Right those having issues with the DLC it means there is a possible corruption in your Addins.xml and Manifest.xml files. Completle reinstall of all DLC's and Awakening should sort it.

Reloading a previous save game?
After Elric's run in with some soldiers he already was near death, perhaps he is completely dead now after ignoring him like that.

Well there is still that quest icon upon him so... and i dont have previous save game and playing again is not a option. Can i fix this somehow with tool set maybe? I mean to make my first talk like it didnt happen at all?
