I lost my Mass Effect save game. In my game I was a renegade who saved the council.
I figured that the default of Mass Effect 2 would be a universe with the council... yet the default is that you let the council die...
Does anyone find that strange? It sets up your character as a renegade.
Wait... So if you start a new game without importing your save the default is that you let the council die?

I was under the impression that you could do a "KotOR II" conversation and decide your own history, but I guess not. Would love a patch or add-in that let you pick some of the major decisions when you make a new game.

If your on PC http://masseffectsaves.com/ they got over 60 sheps and more coming everyday. Chances are you'll find something close to what you want.

yeah i am doing default the first time through even though I have saved characters from ME1, i just wanted to see how it was and yes you let the council die in the default, I shall see what its like if i don't let them die in my saved files later.

Well I think the New game Shep in ME2 picked every neutral option there was the council save part did have a neutral were they still died.

I think the devs picked the least chosen choices for the default Shepard. Wrex dead, Rachni dead, Shiala dead, Udina as councilman etc.
I think its a pretty good decision as it allows most people to experience something different.

So basically default Shep took all the Renegade choices. That's convenient, due to certain mishaps I've only got my Paragon save, now I don't have to worry about the wrong choices being on it when I just use default for my Renegade.
