So I just finshed playing the new DLC Return to Ostagar.

First of all I'd like to say that I enjoyed it a fair bit more than the Warden's Peak one, just beacuse there were so many more feelings when running through it and seeing Cailan almost crucified. It made me reaaallt wanna kick some darkspawn ass. I also liked the fact that they altered all the areas. When I was entering the tower of ashal I was thinking "oh not 4 floors of crap again", but they made it work. All in all a great and beautiful DLC! Thanks Bioware!

And finally some good Dog gear (even though I almost never use the little bugger).

What are your thoughts?

I have to ask, maybe I missed something. I see no new thread on RTO open for download on the sticky's in the General Dragon Age. Also I just logged in and see no new content open to RTO.

Am I missing something here, the only verizon open for download is the pirated verizon. However clicking on your profile I do see you have the achivement's, for the PC verizon so you must have played it..but how?

Where exactly do you go to pick up the quest. For example in Warden's Keep you had to go to camp after lothering to talk to that guy to trigger it. Also with Shale

You had to go to a certain area to start this, where did you start yours?

You get a new location on you're map as soon as you're done installing the DLC.

I thought the ending was funny. But unfortunately, my current game is about to go to the final fight, so seeing Cailin up there was, at best, immersion breaking. I suddenly like Wynne a little better.  The armor did not show up on my elf female warrior -- she just kept the legion of the dead armor graphic.  It does look good on Alistair, though.

Seeing Cailan up there and all that talk about how Loghain was the cause of all this just made me rush to the landsmeet and a**rape him in front of all the nobels.

P.S.

Might we have a Wynne-Alistair romance blooming?

Dear Maker, no.

I think it was more of a clumsy attempt on Alistair's part to make up for the age comments he made earlier, and Wynne turned it around on him.

Although, can I just say I'm REALLY getting sick of Wynne harping on her age all the time and then getting upset when you agree with her that she's old?

Would have to say it was short, but sweet. Also alot more dialogue from your companions compared to other DLC

I thought it was pretty good. A very good addition to the main story too. I also loved seeing Ostagar in snow. Looked very nice. Hope all future DLCs can fit in with the main story just as well as this one does.

That's one of the things I really liked about it, every new "room" you entered had some dialogue. Awesome.
Didn't really get why we let Cailan hang there while we cleared the other darkspawn. Could've at least taken him down and then returned later.

I have a question...

What do you think that shadowry figure was when the warden goes back into the cave after killing the ogre and the camera... was it a person or Calian?

Well I think it was worth the money regardless of how short it was and it's made me wonder if Duncan is really dead or not. Plus what Wynne said at the end to Alistair was priceless.

Did anyone else notice that if you brought alistair + lelianna + morrigan there is almost no comment coming from the companions?

Alistair and Zevran have made a few comments so far, ive not quite finshed it. Leliana has so far been quiet.

Think I may have bugged the quest out to find Calian's gear, inventory was overloaded so I stuck Calian's shield in party chest at Warden's keep this marked the quest as complete :/

*little warning* perhaps.

Wait, how is this different from most other women?

(And before anyone starts crying sexist, this is a woman asking >.>)

My only complaint is that it would have been nice if some one on one dialogue opened up for Alistair and Wynne...I just can't imagine that they and the PC wouldn't want to talk about it after we were done.

Oh, and Zev disapproved -3 about something or other and I have no idea why. <_<

Spoiler explination (Highlight):

He disapproves of you burning Cailan's body in a pyre

The Architect or the talking Darkspawn. Maybe it's Duncan...

I loved it, found it very emotional though... Just being there again, goin by Duncan's firepit, seeing Cailan hangin there, doin the funeral pyre, that was ugh n the whole time I'm thinking poor Alistair especially after reading the documents n listening to that guy when he gives you the quest... It just confirms what's been said before about why Cailan sent Alistair n the pc to light the signal fire... He knew or at least had a gut feeling n whats more is even if Loghain hadn't pulled out they still would of been overrun.

N the conversation between Wynne n Alistair at the end there I didn't know what to think... Laugh or go up to Wynne n smack her for hitting on my man... It was a shock to see that kind of banter between Alistair n Wynne though, kinda amusing.

What were your thoughts about the codex with Eamon telling Cailan about an heir... I'm not sure what to think of him now...

I figured, but I don't understand why he would disapprove of that.

I just started a new playthrough, so haven't been there yet, I have a question though.  Hs anyone tried RTO with Loghain in the party?  I'm wondering if I should hold off on going there untill I get him.

I've just finished Broken Circle and Redcliffe and on my way to the Urn area...is there any reason I shouldn't RTO story flow wise?
