Well yes, but Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner came out almost right after the game release, too. We also hope for extra content, though.Fraga500 wrote...
Return to Ostagar was great, but I'm worried about the next DLCs. Mass Effect 2 had extra content in day one (and they were free!) and more have already been announced, while we get a delayed-but-epic DLC-and that's the only for now!

How do you get the dog actually when you return to Ostagar? Is he fighting the darkspawn and you help him or something?
Done the dlc voor the second time today this time with my mabari and not with Sten. Must say the mabari is great having there, he responds on finding Cailan's stuff (happy bark), he whines when you find Cailan and he howls when you decide to burn Cailan's body. Also Sten loves my dog since he found cake in the tunnel (first room with the spiders).

I loved RTO! Thank you Bioware
I play on PC.
I'm a big Loghain fan and I was so happy to be able to hear him getting angry again! I took Log/whynne and Zev with me and it was just perfect with dialogs. Whynne was really annoying Loghain who was trying to have her shut her mouth..Funny. Anyway, it was exactly my point of view:during the Battle Loghain knew perfectly that he couldn't save the King: it was too late and getting his army in the battle would only have made more deads. He knows: He's a great warrior. He could not do anything . PLus, he disliked Cailan (I did too the 1st time I met that stupid, no-minded spoiled lil thing) and I still wonder WHY on earth players like Cailan or defend him??? Apart from his 'quite' good-looking face, he's empty that guy?? So what? because he's a royal something ? mmm..Weird..Anyway, Loghain was supposing that Cailan was cheating on her daughter (though, with arranged unions, don't expect anything else, ask Maric
) and more, with Celene the Orlesian. Double reason to despise this guy. Why would he show remorse? About no having sent other warriors to a certain death with the same result: Losing the battle and the king?
Great Loghain in RTO, I love him more! The only complaint is that my PC couldn't speak to him, even just after his riots with Whynne. He just had nothing to talk about with my pC : Quite weird under the circumstances. I liked Ostagar under the snow: it was beautiful! This DLC lasted quite a long time, it was well worth it! I would've liked to find more presents to get Log like my PC more (hes' only at 64..) Maybe he would talk to me more (I am kidding..)
Can't wait for the next DLC, this one was of a great quality!
but when I came back at the end to the camp, I had a graphic bug (in fact, it happened earlier when I decided to leave Ostagar in the middle of the adventure to go back to the camp (to have Log speak to me but it didn't work
) And when I came back , all was ugly. I had to reload an older save and to go on Ostagar until the end. So now I'm staying in an ugly camp
:
I don't want to reload! What can I do? BTW,I hope I made myself understood in my post: I'm french.

4th playthough - just finished Lothering to I went to Ostagar with Morrigan, Ali and Sten.
It's clear this was made at the same time as the main game and this DLC is made of discarded bits - much like extra scenes edited out of a movie and brought back in a 'Director's cut'. The 3 letters found in Cailan's chest explains much about Loghain's behavior and give him a deeper personality; why he had Aemon poisoned, why he fought with the King about Anora, why he betrayed despite the upcoming Blight.
I enjoyed it though I hope other parts of the main game haven't been cut off only to be resold as DLCs later on.
EDIT: I never heard any comments from my companions except Alistair's - and I never saw Loghain either... Perhaps these come later on?

- Cailan armor set is much more than alright, see the fatigue reduction it brings, and armor level. Not the uber armor but one more very interesting option.
Just sell it to the blacksmith at Soldier's Peek and buy it back from him - if your level is high enough, it should be refashioned from dragonbone.

The whole difference is that there's frienship between Wynne and Alistair and not the beginning of any between Wynne and Zervan or Oghren.
C'mon, the two share a liking for fine homebrew

I have a question - what do you need to do to finish the quest? I killed the necromancer darkspawn, gathered all cailan's stuff (full armor + sword + shield), burnt his body, killed the ogre, took duncan's blades. Still quest is in the active section. Thanks!

The necro should also drop Cailian's helmet.

Yeah, I got the helm :-(

At that point the quest for cailan's gear should have been marked as complete.
The other part of the dlc is heading back to cailan - marks that as complete.
If these didnt happen then yeah sounds like a bug.
I know that if you drop one piece of cailan's gear in the "Warden's keep partychest" mid-quest and take it out, it marks the quest as complete, even if you have not finshed it.

Actually, Alistair said 'This should be it, we found them all' after I've found only 2 pieces. And my quest was complete. Then after I burnt Cailan's body, it opened the quest again.
I'll try dropping it in the party chest again. Thanks for your help!
Should there be any ending cutscene or conversation, or is it just quest completes, and you leave to world map?

Yes, on cailan after you leave the battlefield area, theres the cutscene and your options, burn him/feed him to the wolves after this choice you can get two different cutscene outcomes, game autosaves - approval or disapproval is marked. End of dlc. You just leave for the worldmap^
