PayPal seems to be "broken" when trying to use it for purchasing points. Quite simply, when reaching the final stage of the purchase, I will be redirected to a PayPal page, which tells me that an error has occurred!
It says I should have received an e-mail or so if a transaction actually took place, and I have not received any, so I don't think PayPal recognises the request. The points page, however, shows two PayPal purchases for points in the Purchase History. Both 'Pending of Payment'!

This is directly related to your previous post. The location of your account, and the location of the billing method are mis-matched.

Hm... so, the two PayPal Pending payments can be ignored? If I change my country in the EA profile, it'll be safe for me to purchase points and the previous ones won't go through?

the pending transactions will move to a rejected state as soon as they time out.
Since you never logged into paypal to finish them, no money was ever moved one way or the other.

I am having this same issue. At the moment, I've been copy/pasting information from my PayPal account into the fields of the points-buying page, but at the last stage, I get the error that "Something went wrong". Tried three times, but just can't get it to work. I've selected Netherlands as my country, and that is where I actually am.
I do not have a credit card linked to PayPal, only a bankaccount.
How can this issue be resolved?

send your login email, and let me know what country you are physically in, and what country your paypal is billed to
