Found this while searching for any info on RTO.

The PlayStation 3 update is on the way, or so BioWare assures, as it is taking them longer than the 360 patch.  That, and Sony's certification process just takes longer than Microsoft's.
If you don't mind the lengthy read, here's the entire notice posted by BioWare in their DA:O [/i]community forums:

The issue we saw on 360, which was introduced with the title update, also exists on the PS3 patch that was planned to go out with the Return to Ostagar DLC for PS3 – it is a console agnostic issue. However, the title update / patch itself (without the issue) is needed for both platforms in order to fix some main game items, as well as enable functionality for Return to Ostagar, and future functionality that benefits upcoming DLC. This meant we were unable to simply go ahead and release the PS3 version independent of pulling the 360 version, we now needed to re-open the PS3 version as well before that went public.

Once we were able to resolve the issue for 360 and delivered the second title update to MS for final certification then work began in earnest on the short hop to moving this across to PS3 and directing the test focus there. The nature of the issue was such that it required the same programmers and made more sense for that particular ‘nut’ to be cracked on the 360 first to really understand how to fix it once and for all, so this was not something we could do in parallel for both platforms.

Lastly, Sony's certification time simply takes longer than Microsoft's. It is also worth mentioning again that as we saw with the original RtO dates, even once in Cert until we actually pass an issue can still be found anytime either by ourselves or Sony/MS which would re-start the process all over again. In practical terms, what that means is that until we are virtually on the last days of certification it is not easy to provide an estimated release date – and we’re not there yet.

What we can do is update you once we get there with Sony certification, as we did with the 360 updates.

I know alot of people have been getting really frustrated waiting on news about RTO (myself included) and  i know there's no release date but maybe some info is better than none

Pfff ... believe me, they'll find something to complain about. There are already complaints from 360 owners about it.

It is short and doesn't offer much, but most of us "die-hards" will scoop it up regardless. I was hell-bent on passing it up but will probably end up buying it all the same. I suppose $5 isn't that bad, but I hope this aleviates further issues in the future, as they are claiming.

At this point are we betting on RTO coming before Awakenings?

I don't bet at all. If Awakening goes first than RtO, then i'll not buy it since Origins' DLCs will not be compatible with the new one.

At this point, it may seem pointless to some, and I understand that, but I will still likely get RTO WHENEVER it comes out regardless, at this point out of curiosity more than anything else, and the fact that I have not finished Origins yet. (I'm sort of on a break from the game)

it really is ridiculous that they have not said anything about this. what is it, like a month before awakening comes out and they still haven;t given us the last piece of origins (which we know is going to be useless since DLC isn't compatible with awakening). come on get this out before it's 100% pointless.

bioware claimed the delay was because of sony's certification process.  it's BS.  at this point, it either failed submission (multiple times) and they had to resubmit the DLC for certification or bioware is completely incompetent and they're delaying the content for no good reason (unless they struck some sort of deal with MS to have it out on their system, a month before sony's... but that's nothing more than a silly conspiracy theory).

the PSN store content is pretty much released when the devs decide to put it out.  so you can't blame sony for the lack of DA:O DLC in the PSN store.

atleast we have official date of release coming from bioware.... but why it is not released much earlier, why still need to wait march 11 if it is already passed the sony certification? why not this coming thursday psn update or maybe tomorrow? still need to wait 2 weeks just to have a 30 min to 1 hour add on game. bioware and sony must release it much earlier than march 11, while ps3 user's focused are still in rto, while we have much plenty of time to play and enjoyed rto. because when awakening is released, more people will know focused, buying, and playing awakening, and eventually rto will be forgotten. and also many ps3 user's will thing if buying rto is still worth it? because any armor or items that can be looted or even cailan's armor cannot be carried if we loaded it to awakening... too much to wait, lest time to played. hope to release it much earlier so ps3 user's will have more time and enjoyed the game...

I agree that it should be released earlier, if its a case of the patch having to be released first then why not release RTO in conjuntion with the patch at lest it would be a week earlier. PS3 users have been without their DA:O fix for to long why make em suffer longerImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB

rto and the patch must release earlier, because ff13 is on march 9, think of possibility that bacause of too much waiting, people are tired of expectations... and i think ff13, since it is first for ps3, it will a big hit and expecting to be a good game or maybe game of the year.... possibility that rto will be forgotten and also awakening will not be as good as the origins in terms of demand beacuse of game rivalry, specially when final fantasy 13, god of war and resonance of fate will be hitting our console this coming march... so ask bioware or sony to release the patch and rto much earlier, hopefully this coming thursday. we all know it is already finish. they delaying it for bussiness. just release it much earlier....

I have a feeling the delay with RtO now is that the patch is still awaiting full clearance, thus why they have not made any announcements of what it fixes. And they want the patch to be out first or it may even need to be out first.

If the patch addresses some of the major bugs in the game i'll be more than happy to wait for RTO the following week
