First of all, I'm loving Mass Effect 2. I'm 25 hours in and still have a few more people to recuit. Excellent game.
Anyways, so I just bought the soundtrack for the game and I'm surprised with how much I liked it. Before I played the game and listened to previews and snipits, I was somewhat iffy about it, but now with context, everything about it feels natural.
However, I was thinking about the difference between the ME1 soundtrack and the ME2. In my opinion, they're actually pretty different. It seems like Jack Wall used a different combination of intruments for this soundtrack. I just finished listening to it all and am wondering which song on the soundtrack do you guys embodies the entire game, if you had to pick one. Which one sounds and feel THE MOST like Mass Effect 2?
For me, it would have to be "The Normandy Reborn". It perfectly intertwines music from the first game into the darker and more heroic tone of ME2 and for me, not only gets me feeling epic and pumped to save the universe, but also reminds me about my story in the first Mass Effect and reminds me where I came from.
What do you guys think?
