Wrong.  I didn't even talk to him in my second play through and still got the email.  You can talk to him, but it is not required to do so in order to trigger the email.

False. Fist only dies if you bring Wrex with you during the mission. You can let Fist walk free if Wrex isn't with you.

How is that false. If Fist was killed by Wrex in all of my play-throughs, wouldn't that mean he was in my party to kill Fist which is what you just said?

I'm on my first playthrough with an imported ME1 character and I couldn't disagree more about there being not much difference in the game plot. in my game: *SPOILER WARNING*:





so far, The council is still alive which allowed me to reclaim specter status, Anderson is in the council and Udina is a sniveling lacky, Wrax is still alive and is the clan ruler on the krogan homeworld, So far it seems like the decisions i made in ME1 are having very far reaching effects on ME2. I can't wait to bring this character into ME3 though I've heard that if shepard dies at the end of ME2 you won't be able to import him to the next game.

P.S.: just after you talk to the seemingly mild convict on purgatory who asks you to take him with you you see another guy in a cell next to his that only says "I can hear the screams in my head, It's nice..." I think that may be "Billy".

That would be Helena Blake, the crime boss who hired you in ME1 to get rid of her 2 former associates. If you used Paragon option to persuade her to straighten up and disband her syndicate, you'll meet her in the Afterlife Club.

I am not sure cause it's been a while since I played Mass Effect 1 so I forgot the guy's name.

But isn't Billy your former gang leader and "friend"? or something like that. In Mass Effect 1 if you pick the "Shepard was kinda like a thug and ran with a gang so he didn't have a good past" bio (and I picked that one) then this dude talks to Shepard in the Wards asking Shepard to do a good word for his former gang leader or someone who was involved with the gang so that he won't go to jail. (...I think that was Billy). But if you pick the Paragon choice he goes to jail...and yea...Jack kinda blew up that place so I guess he's free. I can't think of any other person who would be Billy and have a grudge against Shepard. Especially cause it's like betrayel from Billy's pov.

But like I said I am not sure

Na the guy who was going to jail name was Curt Weisman. Don't think he was the leader just a lacky.

haha... that is true to a point (rare exceptions like the rachni), which does suck.... but I don't think that they would do something internally within the new game that they didn't follow up on

rare exceptions? show me a decision from ME1 that showed up in ME2 that lasted more then about 4 minutes.
