If you start a game online...you can then umplug the ethernet cord and continue playing but, when you get the mission complete status screen you have to reconnect or else you will not recieve the money from Cerebus? So messed up I waited forever to get one big headache?!?

in the same boat as many of you, bought the collectors edition, downloaded all the available DLC, got home from my buddies house and can't use any of it... mad enough to kick several cute, fluffy, droopy eared puppies off of a bridge into a burning pit of fiery hell

That's very odd. I might like to add my 2 cents and say that I connected to Xbox Live once, when I first loaded the game, so I could download the DLC. As I do not have a good internet connection I only downloaded the Armours. I have the Terminus, Collector and Dragon Age armour and have played the game offline since without issue.

Could this mean that this issue stems from the Zaeed DLC?

I can't maintain a constant internet conection.. So now I am very worried about downloading future DLC.

I am now inclined to believe that all of us have either: A) Screwed up the License transfer or B) Did not do the license transfer. The chance that this DLC issue is disc-specific is so slim that it doesn't even matter. I look forward to trying it again, but this time I'm going to have multiple saves to test it on >_>

Im in the same boat too. I went to my friends house, downloaded it, came home and it then gave me the same message. I have a slow internet, but I plugged in my xbox 360 to the internet with a ethernet cord to sign into cereburus then disconnected it and was able to load my saved game. Hope this helps

this is the fu**ing dumbest s**t i've ever had to encounter in a video game. I'm about midway-3/4 through the fu**ing game to realize I can't load my saves while im out to sea in my coast guard ship because I do not have internet to verify some stupid fu**ing downloads that didn't do sh*t anyways. BIOWARE you F**KED UP this time. I love you guys but you seriously F**KED UP. Whoevers idea this was can suck a fat f**king d**k.

So wait a minute. I had my gamertag assigned to the wrong ea account. I setup the ceberus network. Played some of the game. Got them to transfer my tag to the right account but they didn't bring the DLC over as well for some reason. Now I won't be able to use my saved games until they do that too? Man that pretty much is the worst.

*sigh*

Two games in a row with some massive issues regarding DLC...it's a shame because it really puts a massively large taint effect on the two otherwise great games :) (Bad puns intended WOOT)

I am having the same problem. I went to my friends house with my hard drive, downloaded the gamestop free DLC, went home, restarted my 360 with the game, and was told that the "content normady crash site and terminus( etc) is corrupt. please re-download." I even tried it at a different friends house. On here at bioware it says I redeemed the codes, but on my 360 I cant use them! What the **** is going on? I cant use live at my house, i have waited for a long time to play ME2, and I am getting screwed by EA... Any tips?

Erm from what I remember when I had to replace my console (but kept my HD) dlc is assigned to both your profile (GT) and your console ID. Technically the profile/GT that downloaded the content should have the rights to play it anywhere (as long as connected to XBL) and any GT/profile can play it on the original console (matching ID) it was first downloaded on.

Because all you guys downloaded it on a console other than your own, I'd say that the digital rights licence has tied it to your GTs/profiles but not your own console, so you will have to either phone up MS support and ask them to manually swap the licences to your console ID, or use the online tool on xbox.com (can only use this once per 12 months afaik) Otherwise, only the GT that downloaded it can play it online, and not offline.

Hope that helps (and that is all the problem is) :)

Couldn't you just delete the content and re download it on your console

A LOT of the complaints here would be addressed by making sure you transfer your content licenses to the xbox you regularly play on (your own). If you have simply downloaded the DLC to your hard disc on ANOTHER xbox, the dlc will be licensed to an xbox other than your own. This isnt a bioware issue, this is an issue with all xbox DLC.

Edit: Reading the thread more carefully, I realise I'm mistaken - a good portion of the cases here seem to go beyond content license transfers. Apologies for my presumptions. However, for Commander Lance Shepard, a content license transfer appears to be exactly what has happened for you- be very wary of downloading any content onto your HD using another xbox. EA isn't screwing you- you'll have to take it up with microsoft.

I figured it out. I brought my Xbox360 Hard drive to my brothers house to download the DLC and got the same error. To fx this problem I went to the following link:
http://www.xbox.com/...censemigration/

I transfered the Licenses to my xbox and I've been able to play the DLC  offline since. I hope that helps SOMEONE.

Thank you, this helped me hugely.  This thread should be sticked or at least addressed.  Now, if I'm ever required to buy a new console, it seems I'm out of luck for 12 months.

This sounds like the same problem I had with Dragon Age. I'm assuming EA/Bioware applied the same strategy to the DLC for Mass Effect 2 as they did with DA:O, right? There was a workaround for Dragon Age, and I'm able to play the game offline.

See here: http://social.biowar...67/index/172548

Anyone care to apply the same strategy for ME2?

I had the same problem but thanks to this suggestion the problem has been resolved.  I even called XBL support and verified with them.  They stated that as long as all the licenses are on the console and HDD then all DLC will be available offline. The only message i get now is that I cannot connect to Cerberus.  This worked not only with ME2 but with other games like Oblivion, GTAIV and others.

As frustrated as I was with EA and Bioware, now I am beginning to think it is a problem with all DLC you might get over XBLM.  I hope this helps.  Thanks DimensionalGoo.

And a word of advice for others going through this, if you are going to transfer licenses make sure you redownload all DLC for games you might or might not be having this problem with just to be sure.
