When doing the Thane Loyalty mission, you have that option of getting a Shepard V.I. from Mouse. I cant find the answer anywhere, but im assuming we cant actually see/interact with the V.I., or am i missing something?

I too was confused with this. I made him give me a copy, but does it do anything. I thought you'd have a mini-you in your cabin or something.

Yeah thats what i thought as well, ran back to my cabin....nothing.

I really hope its there somewhere on the ship, it would be fun to interact with. Shepard v. Shepard!!

Yea... I was a little let down by the fact that I can't find my virtual self anywhere on the ship. I bet EDI is gettin' freaky with my virtual self in a dark corner.

:sigh:

Guess I stepped on that poor kids throat for nothing. Shucks!

My guess is they only mentioned the Shepard VI to set up a future DLC.

it'd be logical if EDI deleted the VI the moment Shepard brought it back - damn arrogant AI won't stand for any competition on its ship, it would seem ( -_-)

It sucks that this was left out of the game, woulda been funny to see Shepard talk to himself but i geuss they ran out of time. If they do add it in as DLC i hope you can do something like romance EDI with it or program it into Legion so he'd have Shepard's voice.

Why can't we use it to replace Kelly after the collector attack?

That would be fun. Hearing Shepard tell him/herself that he/she has mail.

Obviously we have to buy ME3 in order to use the Shepard V.I.

Or perhaps we will get it in DLC, maybe it's included with the hammerhead - to which you can argue with yourself all day due to the included bugs.

Hell, I want a Shepard VI I can use on my computer at home - but technology being what it is, I'd settle for downloadable sounds I can customise my lappy with... (yes, I truely am that sad. :) )

I might be imagining this, but wasn't there some mention of a Shepard VI in ME1 as well? So I should have 2 versions...

Six months might be in the time frame for thread necromancy, but not this. Better they post in a old thread of the same subject, rather than start a new one like people are want to do.

it's whatever...exclusives never bothered me...they're typically gimick items that really don't affect much...

look at the armors..I dont' even use the DLC ones....overall they're not as good as my custom...and I don't like kissing/drinking through a sealed helmet....and I'm tired of people recognizing me when my ENTIRE FACE is covered....

it's a marketing thing that the retail stores push for mainly..and EA gobbles em up..honestly I doubt BioWare made this decision..and I also doubt they'd have done it if they were on their own....though I could be wrong..regardless it doesn't matter....

why get pissy over gimicks?

The person who started the thread already had his question answered. He's also been inactive for at least a month. There is no reason to resurrect this thread after everything has been clarified. A moderator would have locked a thread like this by now.

The result of bumping a thread like this is usually:
1. Someone bumps 1 month old thread, adding very little to the actual discussion
2. Most people respond to the replies which are also 1 month old
3. Those replies won't get a response, so the discussion fizzles out
4. Thread dies until someone decides to bump it again

Well you can Whine about how long this thread is or you can actaully shut up and contribute to the question.
and No....
it still has not been answered
ME3 is out now and The shepard VI is back and it still seems useless.
I unlocked the demo version from the store clerk and yea its cool and funny but i have a feeling bioware did not drag out an easter egg across 3 games just for a 5 min convo. this VI does more than make you smile.. i just know it.
So im wondering to anyone who has beat the game or figgured something out as to how this VI is "battle applicable"

I mean the VI even says "you want me to do some damage just rip me outta the wall" or something to that degree.

so please... anyone... any info would be appreciative other than the obvious.... (Shepard says "do i really sound like that?")

and yes even though the user who posted this thread is inactive im sure there are still a couple of thousand people out there who just looked at this thread and were disappointed by the lack of answer
