Pretty sure FemShep can fall in love with the female team members, as well.

Kelly/Liara don't count.

Only in a completely off screen capacity. Tali does just enough flirting to make you angry that it's going nowhere in game.

I'm so sorry not all the characters are ****in Bi or lesbians. Jesus people act like 90% of females are bi or lesbian.

Its a shame you can't catch Jack shooting up and turn it into her crying on your shoulder and "confiding" in you... and in your naughty bits.

How do you catch her at all?

I've seen the crying from the trailers, but never ingame.

I must be too nice.

Normally, no. But you're Shepard, hero of the Citadel, savior of the galaxy. So they just can't help it.

I'm sure they can, Samara does it easy. the only reason Liara was a bi romance option was mostly because of her race.

im not being a jerk to lesbians and gays, I belive they should be able to be with who ever they want.

As a full paragon I saw her cry, two conversations after the renegade option for romance

Shepard should have a paragon / renegade interrupt in every discussion that eventually leads to the person sleeping with you.

ROFL. That could make later conversations with Chakwas incredibly awkward...

EDIT: Or GRUNT. Gaaaaah, need the brain bleach.

Speaking of awkward, it was interesting to hear EDI report that there had been multiple mating requests for Grunt...and one request for Shepard.

All of the romance sub-plots are very well done whether male or female. My personal favourite is Garrus, and the scars don't detract from it at all in my opinion (though I suppose I'm a bit biased). Thane's isn't bad either, and even though he's suffering from some major Carth/Sky syndrome it's well-written and dramatic. I felt that the Tali and Garrus romances had an automatic leg up over the competition though, because of their shared backstory with Shepard. They feel like they progress more realistically, which is helped by the time spent on establishing their characters in ME1, when the writers didn't have to worry about making them romanceable.

Shepard: "Have you a minute to talk?"

Tali: "Of course, She..".

*SLAMS LEFT MOUSE BUTTON*

Shepard: "THIS IS JUST ABOUT SEX, ****!"

ITA, although in my case, it backfired. I was too attached to Garrus as a friend to see him as a LI. I liked how they evolved his personality, though. Thane has to be my favorite, and he is not quite dead yet. The Hanar are looking for a cure, and Shep might ask Mordin to help!

Now here's something that kept bugging me. From the start, you can ask Mordin whether there are any medical issues among the crew. You recruit some guy that could drop dead at any time but that should hopefully last long enough to make a suicide run...and he won't even offer to examine him?

That bugs me, too. Also, they can cure your scars, well, cure your death, but can't minimize Garrus's scars? I mean, I am of the "chicks digs scars" group, but stil.. as anachronistic as the elevators in ME1, imho.

Shepard cost bajillions to bring him back from the dead, I doubt the Illusive Man would go and spend money on a Turian that's still alive.

I love Garrus. He's the one character I wanted to romance in the first game and I'm ecstatic that BioWare came through in the second, scars and all.

I don't have anything against Thane or Jacob particularly. They're both better than Kaiden in my opinion.

Garrus for the win. He's awesome.

This.

I think Bio did a good job in balancing some of what women would find hot.  It's not just in a handsome package.

I wanted to 'ship Garrus in the first game as well, but was cookie'd into either the annoying Kaiden or the Pretty pretty option.  Now that I know it could affect what's going on in ME3?  I'm forgoing the 'ship with Liara and staying true with Garrus.

If he's not back in ME3... I'm probably not going to bother buying it : /

Chakwas already has the know how, and the equipment is just an upgrade away. TIM needs not be involved.

This is what makes Garrus my new favorite love interest. The gradual change from friend in the first game to love interest in the second was done incredibly well and gave the relationship a layer that most LIs don't have. It was a lot more satisfying than the usual 'getting to know each other > awkward flirting > in love forever' formula that moves way too fast for how serious they supposedly are for each other.

Both these quotes x100.  Kudos to BW, brilliant job with Garrus. :)

Yeah, they really do break the formula of most bioware love interests (who usually only stick around for one game).

Conversation #1
PC: Hello NPC I would like to know about your backstory
NPC: OK PC, you should know X Y and Z about me

Conversation #2
PC: Hello again NPC, I suddenly find you extremely attractive
NPC: I agree wholeheartedly PC, and may I add that you have a great personality, unfortunately I have unresolved backstory X and cannot commit to a relationship

Conversation #3
PC: I love you NPC
NPC: Now that backstory X is solved I love you too, let's have sex because it's the end of the game and we will never ever see each other again

It is frustrating because Tali will flirt with your female Shepherd but it goes nowhere. Maybe Bioware intended for it to but EA killed it? If that is so...bastards!@!!!!

The only options for the femshep are totaly lame, as the developers and the insecure members of our community insisted. I would have loved to get some femshep/Miranda action, or Kelly, or the chick in engineering (not Tali).

I still for the life of me can not figure out why in a single player experience the PC can not just romance any character they want to "chat up". Romances from ME had no impact on the story line and were just relegated to side quests, so if i chose to chat up Miranda, Kelly, who ever it should make no difference, and it has no bearing on the plot, so why not? Ill tell you why not because there are insecure individuals on the staff and in the forums, yea thats right i said it and i meant it. The game was good but by no means was it DAO good, DAO spanked this game all around, for one reason and one reason only, Choice, you had choice abiet limited but it was still there.

Kelly is great, and she's definitely not a one-night stand.

Granted, she doesn't really count as "cheating" on your ME1 love interest from what I can tell, but she certainly isn't a one night stand. She can be called up to your room as many times as you want. My femshep adores her.

Otherwise the only worthwhile romance imo for femshep is Jacob. Thane is insanely creepy and zombie Garrus is disgusting (again, imo).
