I send it out, but it never captures more than one enemy. I was expecting something like me1 effect where it drew in a swarm, akin to the Blackstorm. Also, while in a singularity and I throw warp, it doesnt count as stacking powers for tactitian?

I noticed in this one, they only usually seem to get affected by the Singularity if they are immediately on top of it. Bugged me because Singularity was absolutely awesome in ME1. And for stacking powers for the achievement, the easiest method by far... with any Biotic who has pull on your squad, pause to the power wheel, select pull for your teammate and warp for yourself, and go. The warp will hit them while they are midair and 100% of the time it will count toward the achievement (unless one of the powers misses)

It's moderately useless compared to ME1 and doesn't last very long at all.

Yeah I know you can evolve it to the "Wide" variant, but even the rank one descript. says "area"

I found it to be the least useful power in ME2, as opposed to arguably the best power in ME1. Not necessarily a bad thing, it made it more challenging how the powers work in 2 as opposed to how easy ME1 got as an adept even on higher difficulties.

Yeah. The description SAYS it's supposed to work on anyone who walks into the event horizon after it's cast, as well, but, most times, enemies can stand directly beside it and not be affected. It's like, even at higher levels, it only really ever does anything much to really weak enemies. Why'd they mess up on the damn signature move?

Boo hoo. Singularity's no longer an "I Win" button. Only a few of the skills are amazing with one point in them. Overload, Incinerate, Pull, AI Hack, Charge, shielding powers, and Warp are the only skills that seem to be able to shine at really low levels that I've seen. But, then, I've only played Vanguard and Engineer, so I can't really attest to how great Cloak and Adrenaline might be.

I think it works, enemies who walk into it (using a lower level Singularity) are caught in it.

Pretty much sucked compared to ME1, Warp was a lot more useful for me

All Biotics in ME1 was crazy powerful, I do like them toned down, although perhaps not THIS toned down. I'd also like my enemies to make better use of the biotics, I hardly ever seem to get hit by anything, I'd like to get pulled then warped into the wall once in a while.

Low levels? I'm talking level 3 here.

It seems like they made Shepherd a lot less powerful this go, and I'm not talking about the stat reduction. All of the abilities seem so weak by comparison to ME1. I suppose it's the reduced cooldowns being traded for power. Still, SIngularity, our signature move, is pretty much useless, whereas it used to be pretty powerful.
I may retrain and substitute Pull for Singularity. At least Pull works.

Singularity is awesome for stopping enemies from rushing you now though, I use it for that, quite different from ME1, but still useful.

well it only traps enemies who's barrier, armor, or shields you have destroyed, but other than that it seems to trap everyone I send it at.

In the intro when the three LOKIs come at you, they have no protection, I threw it at them, only one got caught

Singularity has a small field of effect, but a far faster cooldown, its a good way to knock one enemy out of the fight long enough to even the odds. Use Shockwave for the damage, or warp.

Perhaps they should increase the area of effect slightly, it's supposed to be able to pull stuff out of cover, but you'd have to use pull for that now.

Well, it was too powerful in ME1, now it's been "nerfed" so the Adept will be on par with other mere mortals. Feel fortunate, as the reason Soldiers and Infiltrators were overpowered in ME1, Immunity, was COMPLETELY removed instead of nerfed. But, yeah, Pull Field kicks all kinds of ass. If you really don't like Singularity that much, you can't go wrong with Pull Field. For optimal ass kick, have somebody with Area Concussion Blast or Field Throw in the party.

I thought the description involved a bit of damage dealt by the Singularity but it seems it doesn't damage at all

It does damage (not much), and I've seen it snag more than one enemy for sure. It is limited by how many it can capture at once, but it makes a good trap. Great combo with pretty much any biotic power.

While it doesn't capture resistant enemies, it does immobilize them or slow them down (while doing damage).

It's okay as a sort of stun attack and works great when combined with powers like Push and Warp, but on its own it's not very good. I find myself using Warp and Push far more often, since they do damage and also knock enemies around.
