I just got my Windows 7 disc in the mail and I am upgrading from XP32 to Win7 64 bit in the near future here. I already have made siginificant progress in my Dragon Age Origins game and I was wondering what the best process was in carrying over save files from a clean reformat. Is it possible to carry over the entire Dragon Age folder on an external HD and just paste it cleanly on to my new install or will the 32 to 64 bit architecture not play nice with that? Or does it make registry edits that are important?
Thanks

You will need to copy over the save files from the My Documents/Bioware/DragonAge/Characters
That will have a list of your characters and each of their saves. Now when you install 7 the file structure is a bit different and so when you install DAO there you will need to find that same directory to place it. Don't have 7 yet, had the rc and had to do some working around to get some other games to transfer over. Best bet is to:
Start DOA
Download DLC
Make a quick character and game
Save it then shut down DAO
Do a Local search for that characters name, this should give you the directory.
