I'm just...wow...definitely THE best part of the game. Everything in it was phenomenal. What really set the tone, was both the chemistry and excellent dialogue between Shepard and his crew and the AMAZING music. Seriously, for me, this is probably the best sequence/level in a game I've ever played.

It REALLY felt epic, like it was a life or death situation. Everyone at their breaking points, doing as much as they can. Amazing.

It feels really anti-climatic if everybody survives.

You mean when you're on the Normandy afterwards? That's true, I'm just talking about the actual mission and stuff.

I agree. Character development and interaction has been improved drastically, though fight with human reaper was a bit lame. ME1 ending was much better in my opinion.

I agree. I have to say though, I was really scared the whole time that someone was going to die. I seriously wasn't sure if Shepard was going to make that jump at the end.

Every time i was picking someone for a mission i was always thinking in the back of my mind "he/she's gonna die, they're gonna die, they're gonna die. But i had everyone loyal and they all lived...except jack. but it's ok because i really wanted everyone to live but her. I'm content. her death made teh ending a little more dramatic so i guess she ended up being useful after all =D

No, I mean.. the entire squad and crew (if you react fast enough) surviving. You went on about impossible odds and how dangerous this mission is, but everybody leaves the base without a scratch.

Thane died in mine. Consider my emotions engaged, Bioware.

The reaper fight was cool. They brought back the old classic style of boss fights, where you just hit them where it hurts everytime they open it for whatever reason until they're dead. That was damn epic.

Also whoever said the character development is improved is wrong. They jump to their personal quests really fast and stuff. I found it hard to care for most of them.

Which hopefully leaves for ME3 to continue with the same characters and develop them further.

ya I was really excited with this mission and it was really epic! I was really pissed at the collectors since lost legion before I was even fighting. It was all going great and I felt like the game was going to end with the coolest thing ever, then I turned a corner and a massive terminator was staring at me. Really Bioware? I love you guys but come on. I thought that rediculous boss battles died with Zelda on the N64. Regardless it was still an awesome level.

But...that's not really the majority or anything. Bioware said it's not impossible for everyone to survive. Most people I've talked to have had at least one team member die or Normandy personnel die. That's the point, it comes down to the right choices you make.

Looks like Miranda and Kaeed might be dying. They're the only ones I didn't please.

Mordin died the first time for me. I loved the final battle.

I enjoyed the mission, except that Legion and most of the crew died. Next time, everyone must survive.

I loved it and brought everyone home.

I love the fact that afterwards you can invite your LI up to your room, that was classy.

Kudos BioWare.

Tali is very happy in the Captain's chambers.

Maybe if you have been spoiled in some way before doing it. My first playthrough I just went along with things and everybody survived, but every moment of that was still climactic. Every single cutscene on the suicide mission was climactic.

Funny, Miranda keeps giving me dialogue about the up coming mission. I think she's being evasive.

Last level was amazing.

I was so nervous going through it all, and having to decide who does what...excruciating, knowing that one of them might die because you messed up in your decisions.

Luckily, I left no one behind :)

I made it through with everyone alive, and I'll tell ya, it definately wasn't anticlimactic for me. Spending the entire game preparing for this dangerous mission actually had me nervous when I went into the collector base. Despite all my preparation, I didn't know if I'd even make it out alive, because it's not like in the movies where the hero is going to win no matter what. Shepard, and any of his crew, can die if you slip up. Needless to say I was very satisfied with my ending. I did lose a couple of shipmates like my yeoman, but all my squadmates survived the suicide mission.

My first playthrough was a heartbreaker. I did all the Normandy upgrades, had all the squad upgrades I could find, everyone was loyal...and Zayeed died in the middle of the final level! Grrr.

Forced me to immediately (3am) start another attempt with a new character class ;)

I agree with OP the end run was absolutely epic. It really struck a chord with me when Samara was struggling to hold the biotic barrier. I was crapping myself that someone was gonna die on me the whole way through it, I thought id lost both Garrus and Miranda but they managed to pull through.

Thinking back the final boss was pretty out of place but I killed it with my widow so I still had fun. Anytime you kill something with a sniper rifle you're destined to have fun.

I felt it was Epic and phenomenal until the Godzilla Human Reaper appeared and it all went down hill from there.
