Well, first the quest is idiotic on a common sense level, but second, the actual landscape and pathing is all messed. I get stuck in the air at the last part trying to cross the beam to the mainframe. Everytime. I can't move. It is infuriating.
Also, I can't save right before and keep trying. I have to go back to the beginning.
In addition, you can't cancel the mission, so my progression is stuck, since my last save was quite a while ago and the mission start replaced the auto-save.
So, any ideas on how to get myself out of this?

Ok, so, 20 tries, I got across. On the last girder I stuttered, didn't run, but tapped the w key very slowly and it pushed me over. Your mileage may very.
Oh, and for future reference, PC's need quality control too.

I'm up to twenty tries as well and I am NOT having any luck. You say you just tapped Shepard across slowly and it worked?

Took me 2 or 3 tries also. I managed to do it by just hugging the right side of the beam and running straight through, on the left side I believe I got stuck.

Seriously fix this mission. Although I wiggled the stick a bit and used the melee attack a couple times and it dropped me to the floor. I got stuck in the early part of the mission and after freeing myself ran through the rest of it fairly smoothly.

This is annoying now. I've done this and tried everything but cannot get to the mainframe. Spent an hour giving up and really p'd cos this was a seriously good game till I got stuck and its not the first place either.
