Is anyone else having a problem with flickering shadows that has a Radeon HD 5870?
I'm running the 10.1 hotfix drivers. Had the same problem with 9.12.

What about on the guns in some areas, it looks like another gun is sticking through or something...

No issues for me at all, I'm running 10.1 for my driver and the hotfix, I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have crashes once in a while, including one that seems to have wiped my achievements..but no graphics issues.

Try disabling AI in the Catalyst 3D settings.

Is this for mass effect 1 or 2? I'm having the problem with tearing textures on weapons that are holstered in ME1. I Tried disabling AI in catalyst control center and I still have the same problem. Also tried every graphics setting available in game. No difference.
Running xp with a 5850 radeon. (i need to upgrade to windows 7 I know)
Don't think i'm having the eyelid thing. Sounds freaky!

Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 4.05GHz
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5870, 1GB VRAM, Cat 9.12
Creative SB X-Fi, ctaud2k.sys [6.0.1.1347]
Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 Service Pack 2 (6.0.6002)
DirectX 10.0 (Mar2009) or later ---- DirectX 11.0 actually
I have not experienced any noticable graphical issues, or had any crashes what so ever.
I have ATI AI set to high.
I'd suggest to check if you are having any tearing in any other games. If so then you may have an heat issue or over clocked GPU problem.

We can't do nothing about flickering issues. It's just how the ME games are. You guys ever watched their videos closely? There is flickering in there recorded videos. That means they had flickering on their own machines and their own engines while recording.
We have to live with it... It's basically a lack of Z-buffer precision in certain areas. It is much worst in ME2 than ME1.

Well if some people aren't have the problem and some are then it means they're computers are doing something different then our rigs. We just have to figure out what it is. There is a solution.

Nah there is flickering for everyone. Some just don't care about it. I'm a graphic ****, I care. But there is no fix, it's a really really really low-level driver thing. Even Bioware has flickering on their machines, what will you do?

Just clean installed Windows 7 Home. Let's see if I get any glitchs.

Only the Occational Z-buffer issue that some others have noticed. And in hindsight I got so used to I know they are just an issue with the game engine.
Seems better in ME2 than ME1.
Only the Citidal really does the flickering textures with Z-buffer issues.
