haven't used the blood dragon or terminus armor once since you can't take the helms off or edit them. Understand the editing but not being able to take the helms off is somewhat odd.
Anyone end up using the collector or pre-order stuff?

I never leave home without my Collector Rifle and M490 Blackstorm.

Haven't used any stuff yet. Though I might use the Collector Rifle if I actually get a class that can use them. But I don't see any point using the armors.

I pre-orders the digitial deluxe and out of all the weapons and armor I got from it the only thing I kinda use (My teammates use) it the collectors rifle, everything else seems not as good as the other weapons or your own armor upgrades a tad bit, and not seeing Shepards face is disappointing.
I haven't used the armors (the Dragon and Terminus ones) because you can't remove the helms during dialogue. In fact, I've been pretty adverse to using any Helm for that reason. It's just strange to see you in a helmet all the time, even in a fully breatheable atmosphere.
As for the Pre-Order Weapon? I've used it some, but found some of the in game weapons were better for my purposes.

i do sometimes, i pick them based on looks because the stats don't really matter on any of the suits

I use the Inferno Armor and the Incisor rifle. Something seems wrong with the Collector Assault rifle though, when my team uses them. The icon for which weapon they use seems to get stuck on the Collector rifle.

I've got the same problem with the Blood Dragon and Inferno armours. I understand that making them modular would have been a huge amount of work, but whats wrong with Armour:With Helmet, Armour: Without Helmet?
I don't know why they couldn't have given us the ability to change colours either, it's not like it would have affected the armour mesh or caused any clipping issues and I really don't like the bright red of the Inferno suit even though I like the suit's design otherwise.

Yes, it shows up no matter what for your team mates for some reason

They did it in ME1 and they damn well could have done it in ME2, there's no excuse at all for something like this. They didn't feel like putting down the effort, and that's all there is to it. Shame on them for that, It's an immersion killer. Although, it's not game-breaking. But for a Roleplaying maniac, it's a big deal, and I did expect more coming from BioWare in this regard.
EDIT: Talking about helmets.

Collector assault rifle is probably the best one in the game. I've encountered 4 assault rifles, though. There's one that's slightly more powerful but it has absolutely horrible accuracy. It's like trying to shoot the sniper rifle from ME1 on full automatic. As for the armor, I used them at first but eventually I bought enough pieces to rival the benefits from the special armors and decided I missed seeing my Shepard's face.
Assault rifles: starter rifle is junk, burst fire rifle has the best accuracy but only moderate damage, collector rifle has good accuracy and great damage, other rifle (forgot name) has phenomenal damage but the accuracy of a ME1 sniper rifle.

I think I'd probably use the suits more if they just gave you the peices of the armor. My N7 set would look pretty impressive with Collector arm peices.

I used the Incisor rifle from the DDE. Actually quite taken with it.
I don't think I've actually equipped anything else, partially because I like helms off and partially because I just didn't like how they looked on FemShep. Plus I really don't like the Collector armor.

I used the Incisor rifle for a while. I didn't use the Collector/Inferno/Blood Dragon armors because of the helmets.

Collector Assault Rifle and the Collector Particle gun. I used the armor one time, but will not bother again until I can take the helmet off.

Not really. Just completed the game and tried using Inferno armor for a bit but I couldn't stand the non-removable helmet. Despite the bonuses offered it broke immersion for me and I'd rather look good during the entire game than have my voice filtered and drink shots through my helmet, among other things. The default N7 armor just looks goods and gets the job done. When I attempt an "Insanity" difficulty playthrough I may change my mind, though. The Collector rifle got used a little bit (mostly against other Collectors) but aside from that nope. Oh well.

I have the Gamestop and DAO bonuses. (And ME Galaxy but can't figure out what that is and some people say it's just extra dialogue, which blows imo.)
I use the Blackstorm hvy weapon pretty regularly (not too good for big boss battles but excellent for dealing with mobs, and it always makes me laugh when I think of the toilet commercial), but otherwise... not really. I used the Terminus armor a bit at the beginning of my first playthrough, but I like seeing my characters' faces, so not being able to toggle the helmet off is a major "con" imo.

Wanted to use the Terminus armor, but you can't take off the helmet, so I'm not using it.

I have all of the DLC besides the incisor rifle, and I used about as much of it as a I could at one time. I wore the blood dragon armor, used the blackstorm heavy weapon, and I had my party using the collector rifle where applicable.

I used both the terminus armor and collector suit one two different playtrough, from 0 to 100% I find them extremely well design and cool looking. (Althought seeing Liara kissing Shepard's collector face is hilarious). I also used the collector rifle and the particle beam on my playtrough with the collector suit for the sake of consistency.

I wouldn't have spent the money if I had known about the bonus armor helmets being superglued to your head.

I used the Terminus armor for my first playthrough of the game as a Soldier. The helmet kinda bugged me so on my next playthrough as a Sentinel i used the N7 Suit. Once i got the Dr. Pepper Recon Hood i started using that and i like it better then no helmet cos you can't get the awsome Renagade Scars on a full paragon so it just bugged me i couldn't have the scars of awsome. and still be a good guy.
The Blackstorm gets more use as it's simlpe amazing for dealing with swarms of enemies. Really wish i had the Collector's Edition and could try out the Collector gear.
