I use the Collectors' assault rifle, but not the armor. I haven't even used my Inferno armor code yet. It seems kind of pointless since it's not modular, you can't customize it, and you can't even remove the helmet. At least that's how I feel about it.
Anyone end up using the collector or pre-order stuff?

I use the collector rifle till I get the vindicator on lower difficulties but on Insanity, I use it until I get the revenant.
I don't use any of the preset armors since I can't remove the helmet in conversations or anything like that. I use the Dr. Pepper 5% shield increase head gear though.

Rather like the retailer-exclusive and thus $96 CE here in England, all this tuff seems strictly to have been for retailers and of little worth to customers. The shroud of EA has fallen, only begun the Biowars have............

I used the collector rifle but none of the armors cause they had masks which made shepard's speech sound vacant

I often give one of my squadmates the Collector assault rifle, but that's it. The Collector armor doesn't look good on my femshep in my opinion, and you can't toggle the helmet on any DLC armor so I don't use the Inferno armor either because even with that large face plate I still prefer no helmet to fully see the facial animations in conversations. That and it doesn't make sense to have it on in a hub like Illium for example.

couldnt bring myself to. made the conversations too impersonal during quests.

Yeah, i thought the large face plate the inferno armor has wouldnt bug me that much (was i wrong). I tried the collectors armor for like 20 minutes when i started my game, that was it, for some reason the cerberus assault armor is ok, the face plate isnt that bad (even if its smaller then inferno armor) the face seems more visible for me so i think its good in my book (most of the time).
EDIT: yeah, the helmets bug the **** outa me, except cerberus armor.

I like the Collector beam weapon and the incisor rifle. Great for an Infiltrator.
I prefer the N7 armors with all the power ups.

I love using the Blood Dragon armor, used it entirely in my first playthrough. I also like the Terminus armor a lot, the Collector Armor also looks great especially w/ the rifle and particle beam but it looks a little weird using it in certain environments, though I make sure to always use it in the final mission.

I didn't use any preorder armors since you can't remove the helmet, and it's stupid to wear them and have everyone recognize you with a solid faceplate. Just one of the many nuances that I hope Bioware fixes

Uh..I used my Gamestop armor at least twice, but used the gun throughout my first playthrough. Then I used the Cerberus armor at least on one mission.

Only used the weapons. Armor was a complete waste since you couldn't hide the helmets like in ME1.
