Is it possible to save Lilith?

being liquified. I know you don't travel through the relay right after
the Normandy is attacked, crew members start dying, but she wasn't a
crew member - she was kidnapped way back on Horizon so maybe there was
more time to process her. When I did it I visited Anderson on the
Citadel one last time before traveling through the relay.

It really gave me an almost sickened feeling, like holy ****, this is really intense. Never seen a human liquefied in front of me and there's nothing i can do to help.
Same here. I think I even said," Get Dr. Chawas out!!!" out loud.

LOL! I did the same thing with the Doc. When I saw Kelly get liquified, I was going crazy when my crew was trying to open up as many pods as possible.

Maybe if you flirted enough with Kelly, she lives? Lilith has liquified every time I've run the mission.seyera wrote...
In mine Kelly liquified and Lilith lived. Is it just a time issue, or is there something greater involved with who lives?
I didn't know that Kelly could die instead of Lilith. It would make more sense that the colonist would go first since she's been there longer.

Did you see Lilith? I assume if Kelly dies that simply means Lilith got liquefied long before she did and they just don't show it.
If you go through the relay immediately after the crew is abducted, you save everyone else but Lilith gets gooified.
If you do a mission after the crew is abducted, Kelly, Donnely (or w/e, the engineer guy), etc all die in the tubes because you took too long to prepare.

If you go through the O4-Relay instantly after your crew was abducted you still see her melt.
If you wait any longer Kelly and the crew melts.

How come even if you appear to save more than Chackwas, she is the only one who is alive back on the ship afterwards (in a Kelly smoothie scenario, that is?)

On another note who is this lilith girl? Is she just some random character that was introduced? Or was she ever mentioned in mass effect?
She's the wife of the colonist who said he hated the Allience on Horizon.

I thought you would still have time to do Legion's mission before everything goes to hell. Thats what it says on the wiki.Mystranna Kelteel wrote...

You have time to do Tali's loyalty mission and Legion's loyalty mission and Kelly lives. Any other deviations or detours, and she's genetic goo.

There are a few variables at work here. This is what I've been able to determine.
1) Do all of the recruitment and loyalty missions before you get the IFF. As soon as you're back on the Normandy go and activate Legion. If you don't, the first time you go to the galaxy map it'll trigger the abduction sequence. Once you have activated and talked to Legion turn right around and talk to him again. He'll then start the loyalty mission dialogue. You can now do that mission before it triggers the abduction sequence.
2) If you have open loyalty missions when you get the IFF, you'll only be able to do two missions before the abductions take place. That gives you the option of delaying, e.g., the Tali mission, so that you can take Legion to the Flotilla if you want. After two missions, the next time you go to the galaxy map the abductions take place.
3) If you have pending loyalty mission dialogues that you never initiated, the abduction sequence doesn't seem to want to trigger until you talk to the characters involved. I was trying to get through the end game without doing some loyalty missions because I was planning to let some characters get killed. I figured I wouldn't even bother to talk to them but the game wouldn't advance until I did. I even did a couple of N7 missions, but the game wouldn't start the abductions until I had talked to those characters about their loyalty missions.

Cemented Legion for me when he started whacking on her pod.
