Thane died in my game, but I was expecting more... which never happened. Kinda disappointing really. I think a mission defined as 'suicidal' should have a high death ratio. Hell, that would suit my ruthless femShep since she's well known for sending troops to die on Torfan.

I had Miranda or Garrus as a second leader and Tali as a Specialist (doing the vents). Then I had Thane escorting the crew, Garrus leading the distraction and Jack/Samara on biotic barrier. To take down the final boss I took Miranda and Jacob.

= Everybody survives.

Mordin may die or live depending on what you say to him on his mission on Tuchanka.

Who did you take with you to fight the big Terminator at the end? If you took, say, Grunt and Garrus, the remaining crew members aren't skilled enough at holding the line, and someone dies. Sadly, Mordin is at the top of the death list.

I sent Mordin back with the survivors. This is the scenario that seems to work best for everyone to survive.

Legion is usually my vent guy

Miranda always leads the first fire team

Garrus\\Jacob leads the second fire team

Samara was my biotic shield

I always bring Miranda with me on the final mission cause I like her interaction with TIM.

I think the key thing is to think of their pasts. Mordin struck me more of a doctor\\scientist that a soldier, this is why I sent him back with the crew.

Mordin does tend to die; I read a BW comment that said there was a list of people who died depending on how right/wrong your choices and mission prep were, and that Mordin was top of that list. Explains why he's most peoples random death.

Don't put him on the line; use him as an escort or to right the reaper.

Firt time I´ve done suicide misssion, I´ve lost Tali (becouse loyalty- less Miranda was leader of the first team, I thought that loyal characters couldn´t die) and Thane (I´ve made him leader of the second team). I´ve sent Mordin as escort automatically, becouse I considered him the most useless at the moment. So, I´ve just reloaded, redone the mission with different leaders and now, everyone made it back!
