I have the downloadable content for Blood Dragon Armour, Normandy Crash, and Zaeed the Mercenary. Files are named, respectively: ME_BloodDragon, ME2_NormandyCrash, M2_Zaeed. I logged into the Bioware Social Network after going to the Cerberus network and it downloaded these files to my hard drive. When I went to install them, the Blood Dragon Armour worked fine. I got this error for both of the other two:
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download, or a virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).
I'm using Windows 32bit Home Premium Edition. It's a legal paid-for copy. I'm not upgrading to Windows 7 so that's out of the question. My system specs exceed the recommended specs (and thus, the minimum specs). I've tried running the programs in XP Compatibility mode. I've tried running as administrator. Nothing works. I can't see why the BloodDragon Armour installed but not these other two. I also fail to see why this wasn't an in-game download like with Dragon Age but that's another issue for another day.
Now, I've had one bloody hell of a time installing Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 onto my machine. Before anyone pipes up, my drivers are *ALL* up to date - I spent three hours updating my drivers this morning. I've attempted to install as XP Compatible. I've attempted to Run As Administrator. I've attempted to Run As Administrator in XP Compatibility mode. I've tried installing in safe mode. I managed to get Dragon Age installed after spending 2.5hrs relentlessly installing after each failure (Data Error). For ME2, I finally installed on a housemate's computer and then copied his gamefiles (after the EA Download Manager gave me failed download error, and the torrent I also tried failed me as well). And now this, with the DLC.
So, I'm curious. Where can I get downloadable content from? Anyone?
