 Ok maybe that is a little over the top, but is there anyone else on these forums that thinks that humans need to look out for themselves? Does anyone else agree with Ashley's view of how humans should be valued over alien species when all is said and done?
I in no way completely trust TIM or Cerberus when playing through ME2, but taken at face value I would find myself in perfect agreement with their motives. I gave TIM what he wanted in the endgame sequence because I'll take my chances with him having that kind of power over humanity (and the rest of the galaxy) having no viable chance against the reapers in full scale war.
Also, Ashley's supposedly "racist" (which is not even a proper term for what she is accused of) comments are ubiquitously exaggerated from what I've read on the forums. She's right that humans need to look out for themselves more than the aliens because they sure as hell aren't going to look out for us equally.
What are your guys thoughts on the matter? (queue Liara-obsessed human apologists)

Every species will ultimately value itself over all others when push comes to shove. That being said, I still think political cooperation is the better idea.
