What does everyone think of the very last scene in the game?

You know, when a ridiculously large armada of Reapers approach the galaxy...

When I saw that I was like "OH SHI--"

ME3 is going to be epic, if Commander Shepard has to lead the new Cerberus Collector Mothership into a massive space battle against Harbinger's fleet.

I thought it was a hint that bioware loves the terminator.

You know I said the same thing, but I don't have the new cerberus reaper. However, I do have the Migrant fleet and the entire Geth army at my command! BEAT THAT REAPER ****ES!!!

Do you mean the movies with that? Then I think the final boss fits more than the last scene.

I don't think that there would be a chance in hell of fighting and beating the reapers in a fair fight even with the whole galaxy backing you up.   I think that star that was acting weird in ME2 is going to have some sort of major role in defeating them in 3, or rather the reason why it's acting weird is... Don't know though, it was never really explained and seemed to be a focus of the Illusive Man (he was always seen with a star as a background, and it seems like it has to be more than just a background image the way he stares at it at the end).
But the image of the reapers all approaching is an awesome last scene of the game.

yes.

also every moment in the last mission i though someone could die, i was on the edge of my sit the time, heart pounding praying my team makes it. seeing garrus roll down the platform and shepard racing to grab him and missing only to get him at the last second with the human reaper falling into the abyss, made my heart race and ease it all together. Everytime EDI said anything i was worried a team member didnt make it, just to be assured they did. When i i saw my crew in the pods and saw lilithh get liquified i was terrified, sickened a bit too, then scared and panicked, had to save my crew. was relieved once they were freed. and that final jump onto the normandy, i couldnt even sit.

pretty ****ing intense.

After seeing this scene I was completely sure I made the right decision in giving the collector technology to TIM.

I think it is pretty ironic to go paragon Shepard and say "We can't beat the reapers on our own," and then the screen cuts to this...yeah there's no way in hell paragon Shepard.

It doesn't look like we're gonna have time to do anything before they attack.

"OH SHI-"

That was my literal reaction, haha. Sure could have used that big Collector ships, but Paragon Shepard can be an idiot sometimes. Or rather, TIM is a little too power-hungry for either my Paragon or Renegade Shepards.

Don't forget, the rachni promise their aid against the Reapers in ME2, if you saved the queen in ME1.

There's a zero chance you could take the Reapers in a straight battle. You couldn't even count their numbers in the last scene, even if you freeze framed it. They're practically uncountable. Not to mention that it took a whole fleet just to down Sovereign.

Perhaps creating some kind of virus that could infect the Reapers, or something to that effect. But the salvation of the galaxy in Mass Effect 3 won't involve one massive battle.

I still vote for a space battle involving a Reaper scouting fleet or something though.

Honestly, I see it as this:

the army you've gathered holds the reapers off while you in the normandy go behind enemy lines and blow harbinger up from the inside...maybe the reapers will scatter after that.

I would go with Stargate SG1 playbook and blow up a couple stars. Nothing says screw you like causing a star to go supernova.

To me it looked like they where still many hundreds of thousands of light years away.  Galaxies are huge and they where in empty space outside of any galaxy where they would shine very brightly.  Even with FTL travel its would take hundreds of thousands of years to cross our galaxy, thats why the Mass Relay's are essential for getting around, FTL travel is used for traversing star systems.

Harbinger, how do we even know he is the Reaper leader? I mean he lead the Collectors, and who take control of them... But I just assumed he was like first Sovereign, another Vanguard.

Or did I miss a part were it said he was their leader?

I didn't catch Harbringer saying anything about being the leader of the Reapers, Ryu. Either Harbringer is just another vanguard of the invasion or it was just taking initiative to "save" the only race worth saving due to Sovereign being destroyed by the humans. Lots of questions, but no real answers.

gonna involve a supernova, or hacking whatever mass relay they use to shoot them right in to the center of a black hole or something.

Doubt Supernovas will harm them. The Mass Relays are made of same stuff of the Reapers, and the Mu relay was hit by a supernova, propelling it a long distance with not even a scratch.

One option to defeat the Reapers in ME3 for renegades will be strapping Conrad Vernner to a small shuttle with a loudspeaker attached to it and send it straight into dark space. He'll be so awful that the Reapers will all commit Mass-Suicide.

Mass-Suicide 3. Coming to a store near you.

I'm guessing that they end up allowing the Reapers to come into the galaxy but manipulate the Citadel mass relay so that the Reapers end up in a black hole.

They very well could, given that Tali has the Geth data on Dark Energy and the sun aging too fast. They could potentially use that against the Reapers somehow.

So he can abduct human colonies to turn into genetic material in some sick experiment to try and eventually turn himself into a Reaper? He's all for the advancement of the Human race...and it was said that Reapers are the perfect advancement of machine and organics. He'd of course desire something on a smaller scale...but still.

The Mu Relay was only hit by a shockwave from a supernova. The supernova itself wasn't anywhere near the relay. A supernova going off within several thousand kilometers will kill anything. I'd guess using dark energy to detonate a star or two will be an option in ME3, as somebody else said.

I was happy I got the paragon version of the "**** you" Renegade got in ME1

I grinned ear to ear telling TiM to shove it.

Agreed. I was a Renegade who chose the more Paragon ending, and my Shepard basically told Illusive Man that Cerberus was his now. Epic.
