There is a known bug with Conrad and the Consort. The Consort bug isn't so bad due to it being related to an email. Where as Conrad would have different dialog, I would think. Unless BW forgot and purposly 'bugged' it. Conspiracy... Ahem. XD

I wonder it it's really a bug, there doesn't seem to be much dialogue in the afc containers with Conrad referencing to a Paragon Shepard. Here's a few lines I found, I haven't tried all options with Conrad in the game so I don't know if he actually says them at one point or not:



"You're alive! Oh, this is the happiest day of my life!"

"So I decided to finish what you started, in your honor."

"Well you were gone, right? And the galaxy still needed protecting."

"That's right. Anybody messing with me will answer to my good friend..." (it cuts off but I assume he says "Shepard" just after that)



So, are any of those lines actually in the game? If they are, then it's probably not a bug. Would be weird.

Yeah the "renegade" conrad was the most prevelant in the couple ME1 save games i imported. And i did not remember shoving the gun in his face that much either. What i figured was that if you did not complete the quest thread w/conrad, you know only talked to him once or something, that the default resolution was conrad turns into a Shepard immitator.

I got an email from the Consort talking about her "gift of words", but on a news station it says she left the citadel due to bad press. So, is everything good, or is that the glitch?

I'm not sure but doesn't that bug seem to mostly strike quest that are not as straightfoward as the other



Most ME1 are self contain in one episode on one word with two ending or



but in the case of the Consort you had two quest that were connected to each other



I'm not sure but I think Conrad can be terminated earlier if you go renegade



The Sirta foundation quest as three ending Full massacre-partial death of hostage or no casualties



Could this be related to all this

Lets just hope the Devs will either patch ME1 or ME2 or explain if this is how the Consort, Conrad and Sirta are ment to be.

Maybe originally the paragonned Conrad really did go home to be a real family man and didn't show up at all, in ME2. Then playtesters missed his awesome presence, prompting the developers to, as a last minute decision, force a flag, so that we all get to share the good stuff - if so, no patch for me, please.



As for the consort, I just assumed there had been several more leaks in addition to our particular one, heh.

Ok, so did a bit of testing.



Paragon Conrad, IE, telling him to go back home, and "fight on the home front" in ME1 SHOULD cause Conrad to never appear in ME2, rather he sends you an email, exclaiming he is glad you are alive, and that he has started to help out orphans ( this may be because I am Earthborn ), you should also hear a message about this while walking around Illium.



What seems to be happening according to the data I gathered from my friends is, some people are not getting this bug at all, me and my roommate both got the correct response, both of us went Paragon in ME1, and never saw Conrad in ME2, however, all the rest of our friends got Renegade Conrad.



The amusing thing is, my friends who went Renegade in the first game, and actually DID put a gun to his head are getting the Paragon response for it, he won't appear at the bar, and sends you an email telling you because of you, he has started a orphanarium to help out orphans and whatnot, and is giving the charities, which makes me think the options perhaps got switched up.

I know that at least one of them is an ME1 problem.  The Paragon mission in ME1 that had you kill the biotic extremists while sparing the dazed scientists was incorrectly reported on the news in ME1, indicating that the wrong flag was set on completion.  Not sure why they wouldn't have corrected that bug...

I 'm thinking that this is a glitch, but I don't know for sure.  It seems like helping her out is kinda pointless (well, except for the touchy-feely :innocent:) if it doesn't keep her from getting bad press.

If you resolve Conrad's quest on Illium using Paragon options, Conrad goes away satisfied and you hear the news item about the orphanage.  Likely that's what you are getting.
