I've seen a lot of people with this problem on these forums, so I think we deserve our topic.

So, I bought a new copy of ME2, and there is no card in the box.

Please help.

Did you buy the Collectors Edition? The regular does not come with the Cerberus Network card, sorry to say.

I have the same problem. My retail standard edition didn't include a Cerberus card. So far this has been completely ignored on this forum despite several posts about the issue.

I've put in a support ticket (or question as they call it) with EA support and so far it's been ignored after 2 days.

I tried the EA support chat, but it keeps cancelling once I'm finally first in line.

This is bull****

Standard doesn't come with the Cerberus card. Only the Collector's Edition does.

That's simply not correct. The back of the box states:

Activate The Cerberus Network. Includes a single-use code granting access to the Cerberus Network.

Everybody is supposed to have access with a new copy of the game.

You're incorrect. Only the CE comes with the card. If you get the Standard edition, you have to buy access to the Cerberus Network seperatly. It costs about 1500 gamer points on XBL.

Why do you insist on filling this topic with crap? I don't give a damn about the Xbox version. I have the PC version and the card is supposed to be included. Read my last reply again.

You are simply wrong. Accept it.

Nice nerd rage. I was merely giving you an estimate on the price of the Cerberus Network you'll need to buy. I'm unsure of how much it is for the PC as I pre-ordered the CE and don't need to buy it. Anyways.

From second link:
The Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition comes with:

Collector Armor and Assault Rifle
Two bonus in-game items: advanced regeneration armor and a powerful shield-shredding assault rifle.

Incisor Rifle
Firing three shots with each pull of the trigger, the Incisor Rifle is designed to decimate shields before the enemy even realizes they have been hit.

Original Soundtrack
The Mass Effect 2 original soundtrack features 12 pieces spanning the entire Mass Effect 2 experience.

Digital Art Book
The art book contains 48 pages of stunning full color artwork including captions from the Mass Effect 2 team.

Digital Mass Effect Redemption #1 comic
Featuring a limited edition cover, this issue of Redemption is the first part of a four part series as Liara T’Soni embarks on a dangerous mission to find Commander Shepard.

Documentary Video
Featuring over 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes and making-of videos, the Mass Effect 2 documentary takes an exclusive look at how Mass Effect 2 was made.

Cerberus Network

Now.I realize that's the Digital edition, but my point is is that the Standard does -not- come with a CN card. I also have the PC CE right in front of me, stating "Limited edition Cerberus Network card granting access to included bonus content." Does yours say that?

The standard edition should have a cerberus card as well. It's clearly stated on their site AND on the back cover of the box.

Not only do we have to deal with EA, but we have to deal with a vacuous moron like DevilHakoten who yaps and yaps about something very simply to understand, yet beyond his ability to reason.

The regular edition is supposed to ship with the Cerberus card. You need the card to be able to download any DLC - also future DLC. Currently the regular edition is supposed to have access to Zaeed and the Normandy crash site.

The Collector's edition card is different and will grant access to bonus items not available in the regular edition.

EA/Bioware made the Cerberus Network to make people buy new games instead of used copies. ALL new, factory sealed, retail copies of the game is supposed to ship with the card granting access to the Cerberus Network and the launch day DLC (Zaeed + crash site).

This is not hard to understand. As I already stated it is written on my box that a Cerberus card is included. The card simply isn't there and now I'd like EA to grant access to my account.

There is nothing more to it.

Included in each copy of Mass Effect 2, for both PC (digital and box) and X360, there is a Cerberus Network card with a unique single-use code. Login to the Cerberus Network in Mass Effect 2 and register your code to enlist! Once you are a member, Cerberus Network content is available to you at no extra charge.

So every game coppy should have it but seems like they missed retail one -.-

btw why did they even made those code's if every1 should have it.....

Codes can be purchased separately as well. Follow the instructions from the Mass Effect 2 main menu for more information.

Same problem here. No card inside the box.

Sent an email to EA support, but got no reply so far.

Since the code is one use only. It's to try and stop the used games market, since people buying ME2 used at a place like GameStop will have to buy the Cerberus code since it's already used by the previous owner.

It's all a lame bureaucratic scheme that now messes with paying customers who can't access any current or future DLC without the code.

Bioware has had a few days to comment, but they're not acknowledging the issue yet. Very poor attitude towards customers. No reply from EA either.
