This thread is more for people who romanced Ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2...

1st off a lil surprised at Ashley's reaction on Horizon I must say I was a tad pissed but I ended up loving Miranda's character. Model was way more attractive looking then I thought from all the videos.

Anyways...I wonder how this will be handled in ME 3. At the end you see Miranda resign from Cerberus which i thought was great but will this last? who knows...Thoughts?

Also, Anybody romance Miranda and have her die in the suicide mission? Wonder how this will effect ME3!

It seems Bioware has many, many branches and loose ends to fill for all the possible outcomes in ME 2 for ME 3.

Wait, Miranda resigns afterwards? I had her as a romance my first playthrough, when does this happen? Do you have to go to her and talk to her or something?

I don't think it would be possible to romance Miranda and have her die in the suicide mission, because to die she would have to not be loyal right?  Any position you put her in as long as she's loyal, she survives... She can get someone killed as the biotic, but she doesn't die herself.  To romance her, pretty sure she has to be loyal.

Anyway, I'm guessing/hoping that ME3 will take advantage of the branching subplots of the last two games. I know it's a massive undertaking but I recall a quote from one of the devs discussing the trilogy - the major plot points and story will remain the same for everyone but it's the choices made that personalize the game for the individual. I'm hoping they'll live up to that promise and really make the choices that you made in ME2 matter in the next one. If one or two members die in the suicide mission make them unavailable. But make the others important parts of the game. Leave it up to the player to unlock all the work that they put into it.

Right after TIM asks for you to save the collector ship..If you deny it and destroy the ship she will agree with you and resign from cerebus. Thats what happened for me anyway.

If you bring her on the last segment of the suicide mission, the Illusive man tries to make her stop you from destroying the collectors' base. (If you chose to destroy it.) Miranda then says no, Tim says it's an order, and then Miranda says that she's leaving Cerberus.

Why doesn't she resign for her new BFF FemShep? >:(

Edit: Oh nvm, I didn't bring her on the very last part...  She was leading the other team XD

What made this so much better was your krogan avatar. I just visualized Wrex laughing at a dirty joke.

I'm guessing not many people stayed faithful. I heard it pays off in ME3. Who cares Miranda is great!

The same interesting situation will stand with Ash and Jack (given they don't write every ME2 character out with some cheap and dumb twist, like exploding this Normandy too).

Maybe -given it won't be a mature handling of the situation- we get to see if biotics can really run out bullets... *kidding*

Anyways, I hope it won't be degraded to a dialogue option saying "Hey Shepard, screw you, you cheated on me" - and story continues. Highly unlikely.

I loved when the chef on the Normandy laughed at his 'crack' pun. classic childish humour.

I really do hope that the character you romanced in ME2 returns in ME3, it would seem rather annoying if they were simply left out of it all...

I reckon that anyone that has a ME1 LI that they ''cheated'' on with someone from ME2 there will be a confrontation in ME3 where the player has to either chose which one they want, and that one will stay as a squad mate, and will remain your LI only if you handle the dialogue right.  Otherwise they'll give you the cold shoulder the rest of the game, but do their duty.  The rejected/hurt LI will leave your crew and not be usable as a squad mate.  Maybe they'll appear at the end of the game during an epic final battle, but not useable as a squadie.  There better be some damned consequences since this is part 3.

Soooooooooooo your Shepard would kill Ashley IF the option was in the game (unlikely) because the game lacked Miranda? Sweet bro.

One thing I'm genuinely curious about is whether or not her resignation from Cerberus and TIM will be be regarded as canon in ME3 only if you had brought her along with you to confront the Human-Reaper or will it be considered canon for all the Shepards who destroyed the Cerberus base (even if they didn't bring Miranda along and didn't view the "resignation" scene).
