I lost Mordin ( rocket+face) and Thane(swarms). all loyal. Jacob was my barrier. I failed my team by picking him. You were all brave, and we will miss you. (places monument to them and sings "scientist salarian")

I lost Mordin, I think due to the lack of tech upgrades but who knows?

I lost no one, not even the Normandy crew. I researched most of the generic tech upgrades and all the character specific upgrades. I had every team members loyalty. For a minute I thought I was going to lose Samara, but she managed to pull it through in the end.

Besides upgrades and loyalty, I think it comes down to picking the right person to lead the sub-teams. For example: Having Grunt, who is a beast of a fighter but lacking in leadership, to lead the second assault team probably not a good choice. I didn't try that so it may work out, but I doubt it.

Just went through it with half upgrades on characters, full ship ups. Max loyalty on all but Zaedd and Jack.

My layout.

Garrus - Alt Teams twice
Samara - Shield
Grunt - Escort
Legion - Vents

No casualties, full crew on board
I was always with Miranda and Tali if that makes a difference!

Wow, I'm surprised I'm the only one who lost Jacob in the vents. He volunteered so I let him, not my fault if he died. Everyone else survived.

ugh, i lost mordin... why... WHY... he was by far the most entertaining new character in the game (thinking about when he sang, hahahah, or his warnings about sleeping with Jack: "you may want to pad the walls").

gonna retry, keeping everything the same, cept this time i'm taking him with me to the boss fight, hopefully all will go well from there

Thane....it actually made it more cinematic, he died making the universe a better place like he wanted

I lost Jack and the all the crew. It feels weird continuing to play after without the crew. It's really empty. Garrus was the second team leader and when he got shot when they were closing the door I was like "NOO!!!!" but he was fine. All in all good ending but I wish it would've lasted longer and been just a bit more epic. I still loved it though.

I had Tali in the vents, Miranda first team leader, Garrus second team leader, Samara biotic barrier, and took Grunt and Jack to fight the Human-Reaper. That's where Jack died. And I chose to give the Collector base to Cerberus, but I regret doing that now. Finishing ME2 didn't feel as happy as it did finishing ME1. ME2 is definitely darker, and ME3 is gonna be insane!

Now, onto playthrough numero dos.

I have upgraded everything, gotten all loyalties, done every side quest, had perfect techy run while still killing all enemies  and yet still some how lose my techy and lose some one when they are guarding the door at the end

I lost only Jacob..on purpose

Over two playthroughs I only lost Legion(Miranda got him shot in the face), Miranda(wasn't too sad about it), and Jack.

Legion got carried off by bugs...I felt horrible watching that, he ruled.

I only lost Zaeed when I had him lead the second group for the biotic barrier part. No wonder his blue suns buddy betrayed him, he obviously cant lead lol.

Same... I'm gonna do other play throughs where I do things differently, but this one is gonna be my first go in me3, because it was my honest outcome.  I was so scared going through for all my squad members >.< when I got through with everyone alive I was like "what? We all made it!? :O"

The tech specialist HAS to be either Tali or Legion.  The  second team leader HAS to be either Miranda, Jacob, or Garrus.

I can tell you that on my renegade playthrough, miranda will die after I've romanced her. but on my main paragade playthrough, I lost no one.
